I like how on all debit machines if you accidentally pick the wrong account, you cant hit correct to fix it, you have to cancel the whole thing and start over. Really makes you look like a retard.

poo poo, all you'd really have to do is say "what's it say to the top-left of the keboard? The whole thing, verbatim."

You really think they know what verbatim means?

Long time reader of this thread. Thank you for many hours of enjoyment.

I have a question. I don't remember who it was but a while back someone was posting about super cheap point to point links they had between sites at like 100 mb. Anyone remember the company that was providing the links or got any suggestions? I have recently been tasked with making sure the owner of my company has a reason to keep having the company pay the mortgage on a building about a mile away from ours that he owns. This would help justify it if I could find an affordable service available in this area.

Regarding corporate jargon if you have a strong accent you can always try loving with their heads. Synergies becomes Synerjizz, Synergism becomes Synergasm, Paradigm becomes Para'Dickh'Em, Touch Base becomes Touch Arse and so on.
Most people will be too polite to call you on it and they'll constantly think about it until one day they just blurt it out in front of somebody important.

We've started imaging Win7 64 and some issues popped up, Mostly, though it's because the applications they were using were about 10 years old, non of which were in-house. Our policy is that we don't install or support software that is no longer supported by the developer, which our directors support.
What can you do, though? How many years can you keep installing a 10+ year old operating system?

From what I've read in this thread, at least 5 more.

My most-est favorite-est thing about zip ties is when the jackass that installs them cuts the tail off at about a 45 degree angle, creating a terrible flesh-rending weapon out of an otherwise innocuous piece of plastic. Bonus points if they manage to arrange them like sharks' teeth, so it hurts even more pulling your arm back out of whatever crevice you had to jam it into in the first place to cut the tie.

It's like a raccoon trap, but for hungover IT workers!
