Not sure if I posted it before, but it's my DD / trail rig. Planning on getting a pushbar, safari rack, winch, and some decent lighting so I can actually go crawling through / over trees without too much fear of getting stuck. Already able to wade through mud and water up to my bumpers without burying her to the point of being unable to move

I actually had a hard time finding some good wheels for it, the 4wd Blazers had this utterly weird bolt pattern / offset so it made things somewhat difficult. Plus, I figured these suited the offroad look

Nice sleeper, what are the details? I don't know a ton about the different honda engine combos but I know it wouldn't take much to make that a screamer. Also keep that thing if you want to run Autox.

Engine wise its a B18C from a 98 GSR with pistons and cams from a JDM type-r, 65mm throttle body, aebs intake manifold, dc 4-1 header, stock looking HKS exhaust, and its running on crome through a chipped p72 ecu.
On the chassis side it has Skunk2 Pro S coilovers, strut braces, urethane bushings, DA disc brakes all around, ss brake lines, and a rear swaybar (the std model wasn't equipped with one).

Its a fun car to drive around and I would like to run autox with it it once I figure out my part throttle bucking problem. I bought it as a daily driver so I wouldnt put so many miles on my Evo, but I can't leave poo poo alone and I ended up turning it into a drat project car.....its my curse. Hopefully it will be back to DD status next week.

Not a Miata!

Typhoon, GTO, Solstice
Typhoon is the new project, runs strong, needs some rust work in the rear and front quarter panels, other than that is in decent shape.
GTO is the daily driver, nothing done. 6L, 6spd.
Solstice is the track/weekend car with a little bit done:
Better intercooler (one that won't balloon).
Hardpipes (to resolve the throttle body pipe from popping off).
GM LNF Turbo upgrade (290hp/340ft-lbs)
GMPP suspension
DDM Rear brace
DDM tunnel brace
3 sets of rims (stock, SSRs, and OZ 18x9 for track use).

That's a cool collection. Do many people go for Holden/HSV front bars for the GTOs in the States? Because the Pontiac front is not good. Also requesting any pics of the Solstice + OZs.

Some people opt for the Holden front end, but it's not done all too often that I've seen from other forums. I think the Holden front end does look better, but I'm not going to shell out for it.
I won't have pictures of the solstice with the OZ's on it until the next track day, as they are recent acquisitions. All I did was a quick test fit to make sure they wouldn't rub at full lock. After the test was done, they were taken off, and the SSRs were put back on for regular driving. We were originally shooting for July 6th for another track day, but that has been tossed out the window due to lack of funding at the moment. I think we're shooting for August or so.

Cool cars. Is your Solstice putting more power down than the GTO? In my head I'm assuming the GTO has a leg up, and I'd be prone to take the GTO to the track then. gently caress, I'd take them all to the track.

Raw power, no. The GTO is rated @ 400hp stock, whereas the GM rated power of the Solstice is 290. However, when weight is factored in (roughly 3800lbs on the GTO, 2900lbs in the solstice) peak power, they are about the same, but the solstice has a torque curve that when adjusted for weight is better. Not only that, but the Solstice with the rims allows for 275/35/18's all the way around, whereas that would cause significant issues with rubbing in the GTO without some modification. I'm not serious enough at the track to warrant R compound tires, so I'm just running Dunlop Z1 Star specs in the 275 size, and that produces enough traction to stick quite well.
The GTO would only allow a 245, and even when both vehicles are running the same width & tire, the solstice still out handles the GTO without a problem.
Granted, the solstice has had more done than just the tune, so it's probably making more, but I don't like to estimate based on mods, because you can't just add up rated gains to get your power.

Not a whole lot. If I'd have to guess, I would say 175 to the wheels. I will stick it on a dyno as soon as the part throttle problem is resolved the verify my guess. My goal is to break 200, which should be doable with some real cams and a real header.

Thanks for the comments, Ive always been a fan of sleepers and was upset when we lost that awesome thread.

That's a gently caress ton of power considering the curb weight of the car it's in and the rev range of that B18C. I bet it's a blast to drive.

Finally took pictures of the Civic with it's new (as of January) rims on it. Last pictures I posted on here of it were with the stock 15 inch ones. 17inch Borbet Type LS rims look decent on it, much better than stock in my opinion. Also allow just a bit more rubber to the ground on a car that doesn't need it. Just for looks, car is a daily.

Eh, clean up the body, get the intake mani and headers, drop it a touch and get some better rubber but leave her as stock looking as possible.

That's the plan. Only body work I'm doing is replacing a quarter panel, and the paint will be the stock color if it's available. Only thing non-stock looking will be the rims. Edit: Well, the exhaust doesn't look stock anymore, maybe I'll get a new one. I only got it because it's not illegally loud, and my old one rusted apart.

I LOVE it but, my previous cars were a 96 Monte Carlo and a 2001 Ford Tarus. Even the basic interior in this car is amazing. The seats hug your hips and its VERY spacious. Especially compared to the focus jesus. I only have one complaint, and its kind of a benefit but you cant see poo poo out of the rear window. I've had cars behind me and I can just hardly see a faint glow of their lights. The rear end end sits up rather high and the rear window is small. I get about 28MPG and have had 0 problems. Between the some odd 15k Id pay for the focus compared to the 18k I paid for the Fusion it was a great deal.

Oh one last complaint the front is hard as gently caress to keep clean. Its a loving bug magnet.

Oh bird magnet too, I caught this little guy on the way to work one morning.
