Show us what you got, what you got
I kind of keep spamming this thread but we keep getting new openings and a bunch of you do seem to be applying. Anyways:

New Opening

Location: Madison, WI
Position: Account Manager

We just got a company-wide email saying we're in desperation mode for this opening and need to hire a bunch of people pronto. If you have any kind of sales experience, marketing sales preferred, you should think about applying. Something like ad agency, radio, newspaper, any kind experience in a marketing sales role is great.

This isn't an entry-level role, however if you have internships or just an outstanding resume or something it wouldn't hurt to apply.

Generally our account managers work with our various healthcare clients, and help bring in new healthcare clinics as new clients. I believe this is commissioned, and the size of the client can mean huge commissions. I don't know much else more than that.

Lastly, due to desperation-mode they ramped up the employee referral bonus so I'm going to say gently caress it and refer you, an absolute stranger. I can only do one referral so if there's interest from a couple people I'll only refer (who I deem) the best experienced candidate. My referral isn't a guaranteed job, but it helps. I apologize in advance if I can't refer you, it won't mean you don't get the standard phone interview or anything.

Let me know if you want to apply! PM me or email me at redacted

May also be willing to commute to the city.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

* Primary responsibilities including calling prospects and customers around promotions and events, with a call quota to be determined.
* Secondary responsibilities include entering data and notes in Salesforce.
* Additional administrative support may be required such as generating target lists.

Requirements:

* Excellent communication skills
* Sales experience a plus

Please provide cover letter, resume and salary requirements to hr@ebrary.com. Principals only and no phone calls, please. ebrary is an equal opportunity employer.
---------------------------------------------------------------

For this position, you'd be working from home. I'm not the one doing the hiring for this, so I don't know if they're looking for someone who lives anywhere, or if they're looking for someone close to the office so that they can come in for training. If you are not from the Bay Area and would like to apply, email me at vrmann AT gmail DOT com, and I'll inquire for you. This position is actually two openings, so multiple goons can be happy! If you don't have direct experience, or if you have a degree in something unrelated but have transferrable skills, feel free to still apply. I started out at the company in a QA position and I had no QA experience, just an enjoyment of putzing around with computers. I was recently transferred to be the Sales and Marketing Coordinator for the West, and I have no real sales experience other than six months of being a cashier at Target.

Looking for a job

Industry: Criminal Justice, legal, accounting/finance, any combination thereof

Education: BS in Criminal Justice

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Work experience: 2 years experience as an accountant/bookkeeper for a local privately-owned bar and restaurant (roughly 50 employees), handled daily sales, payroll and associated taxes, bank deposits and bank reconciliation, general office management, new hire processing, loss prevention, and some inventory control. I have a lot of experience in Quickbooks Pro, Squirrel point-of-sale, and MS Office

I'm looking for pretty much any job that could use my education in Criminal Justice, my work experience in accounting and bookkeeping, or both (i.e., fraud investigation, etc).
Barring that, I'm not against working as a general office lackey or whatever, either. Temp or temp-to-hire isn't a problem for me, either.

Contact info is in my profile, or PM me or shoot me an email at DDellamarggio (at) gmail (dot) com.
