Laurie Anderson is weird as gently caress and I love it. Anybody know much about her? Apparently she's pretty famous in experimental/electronic circles.

A friend just made a mix for me with her song "Word of Mouth" on it. I've never heard anything like it. Does anybody have any info/further recommendations on this woman?

I'm really into african rap at the moment, along the lines of X Plastaz : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yescF-rNB8

Has anyone got any more bass-heavy yet very jumpy stuff like this?

How about K'naan? He raps in english, but it's def. bass-heavy and jumpy.

(I like this video too b/c the beginning of it has a tiny little clip of the Nigerian scammers that got counter-scammed into performing a word-for-word rendition of the dead parrot sketch from Monty Python)

Didn't know X Plastaz. I like it.
