Anyone know any dubstep kind of like this. Specifically I really like the awesome "space laser bass".

Torael_7 posted:I'm looking for something with a nice strong bass and/or drum line. Exact genre isn't a big deal, it can be D&B, UK bass, techno, electro-industrial, whatever, but I don't really want singing (some vocals are okay, just no singing). Examples include Justice, from the first page (such as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lodWFJJIOkg), This Morn Omina (such as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5EagS_11RB8), some Pendulum, (Blood Sugar and Salt in the Wounds, namely), etc. I can only really speak to you on the DNB angle. I would check out Spor, some of his music has vocals but most doesn't and its pretty hard stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRVKb2VJYiA This is probably one of his more popular tracks. He also has an electro alias, Feed Me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6ILV4hjc6U You should really like this track, it's got a little bit of vocals but it also has a really deep bassline and I think you'll like the drums. I'm also a huge fan of Shock One. Definitely on the other side of the genre from Spor. He's got a mish mash of vocal and non vocal tracks, I picked a couple I thought you would like. Some have some vocals but very little. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_H3yojwppcY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgjB0HlhoJU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGPK6GwuWlM http://www.youtube.com/user/NeurofunkGrid Here's a great Youtube channel where you can sample some great DnB. There's also liquid which has some really good non vocal tracks but at the same time vocals are incredibly prevalent with a lot of artists. Here's a decent example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OH627fyAxpA There's a ton more names I could give you but it's a really broad genre so if you like any of that I can point you to stuff that's similar.

So based upon many recommendations I started listening to Frank Turner's "new" album. I love it all. I'm looking for stuff like it, even slightly like it. Specifically I really liked this song. Don't hem yourselves in though.

So, I'm a big fan of that pirate shanty that Pirates of the Carribbean has made really famous. Does anyone make serious music like that? Also, I guess you wouldn't even have to restrict it to that one song, anything inspired by/similar to an old sea shanty would do. I know it's an odd request because these things were usually done without instruments.
