Really? I guess I'll figure out how I feel about it soon enough.

I only like Skim milk... I wonderrrrrrr if I'll be able to drink any other kind =\

Back today

5 min walk at 4 mph to warm uppp

Deadlifts - 135x10 185x5 225x5 315x6 yessss got it straight through no pausing nothing! It actually felt a LOT lighter than last week.

Hammer Grip lat Pulldowns - 17x10 restpaused

Underhand Barbell Row - 155x16 restpaused

pullups - 10, 7, 6

Face Pulls - 11x20x2

Then I hosed around with various things... some shrugs, reverse curls, forearm curls, farmers walks, reverse flies.

Lat Stretch - 30 seconds.. grip failed hahaha

sprinters ab circuit - 5,5,5,5 x 3

10 minutes incline walking. Every time that I went to put the incline or MPH down at all I punished myself by increasing it instead haha. I had "Make Yourself," and "Remember The Name" on repeat.

There was some teenage kid kinda wandering around doing random poo poo, and then he got one of the "personal trainers" to help him. Ugh, I hate these loving personal trainers, worthless I tell you. So I went up and asked the kid what his goal was, and he said he wanted to get big. I told him to come talk to me after he was done loving off with the fat PT. He came and talked to me and I told him I'd help him for free but he'd have to put in the work and it wouldn't be easy. I gave him my email, maybe he wants my help, maybe not. I don't give a poo poo but if he keeps doing what he's doing he's not going to progress much.

Also, for you vegetarian lifters out there, there is hope. I was talking to this guy at my gym who was deadlifting today.. 335x12x4. He doesn't eat meat, at all. I've seen him do other things and he's strong as hell and HUGE. He's probably a genetic freak though haha.

It seems that the 'Personal Trainers' at most gyms are just people who can teach you how to properly use the machines.

Nucka, I think you need to go get a pinch test done to get a proper BF% readout. 23+ seems a little high. I was placed @ ~13-15% at 5'7", 205lbs.

Go get that done at a gym/wherever and let us know what they tell you.

e: Make sure it's a pinch test. Those ones you put your info into and grip until it tells you a BF% are wonky. It placed me at 26.5% before I got my pinch test done, which clocked me 13% less.

I was going to get one pretty soon, but not sure when. I think I was probably 20+ in January when I posted my log. I think right now I'm mid-low teens I hope. I'll see if I can go someplace right now and get it done I am pretty curious.

Oh, I also weighed in at 178.6 today.

Haha I never thought about that . Here are some that are read by a robot voice: http://www.sbellcheck.co.uk/couchto...st/Podcast.html click at the top if you want mp3 format. Look out--week 2 is messed up, so you'll need a different podcast for that one.

Just call some gyms in your area and ask if they do it.

Thanks cone I'll give that a try.

Track or Tread?

Jake Gittes

My attitude is leave me the fuck alone.

I tried both, and I greatly enjoyed getting out on the streets a hell of a lot more than the treadmill. Sitting there staring at the wall and/or timer was just soul-crushingly boring for me. Instead, I just started plotting out approximate routes on Google Earth and hitting the bricks.

gently caress, I cannot let you beat me under 10% BF. I gotta get tested asap. Congrats though, not much further to go!

I run on a treadmill. Mainly because I'm a big baby and it's still snowing here. My University gym has a really nice indoor track that I'd like to run on when I go back to school, though. For a guy like you, I don't even know if C25K is 'necessary', I think you'll be able to run the 5k in well under the 8 weeks or whatever amount of time they pace you at.

I say skip the first few weeks of couch to 5k or just skip it entirely. Try to run 3 miles and if you can do it in less than 30 minutes just keep doing it a few times a week and up the speed each time.

A lot of the earlier weeks in couch to 5k can be wasted time if you're already in decent shape.

edit: basically you'll probably find that couch to 5k doesn't really push you to your limit or really exhaust you very much. i think a better running plan for people at your level is just run a few miles as fast as you can and just try to improve your time every few runs.

I get what you're all saying about how it's not necessary for me to start it now. I'm gonna do it anyways just because I'll have podcasts to follow, and because I REALLY REALLY HATE RUNNING. I EFFING HATE IT SO BAD.

Today I did legs

Squats (videotaped, was horrible. I cannot go as low as I thought without buttwink. Will NOT go as low as I was, and will record next week to check myself.)
95x7 135x6 185x5

Lunges - 30x20 restpaused

Front Squat - 95x16

SLDL(doing these straight leg rounded back now) - 185x11 185x10

Leg Curls - 8x12 8x8

Quad Stretch - 35 seconds

Ham stretch - 60 seconds

DC calf raises - 70xdunno, a lot, hard to count when I'm constantly counting to 5 and 20.

C25K Week 1 Day 1 - Was interesting at first since I had just done a leg workout haha. Went off without a hitcharoo.
