Well maybe like in other shounen mangas, he'll suddenly find a way to do it super fast.

Come on guys the theme of this chapter was about Breaking Rules, meaning they are gonna find a way to break the rule of it taking 20 years and finish faster! Like any true shounen hero getting mad powers in just a few days when it takes all other characters a life time.

I'm glad to see Sani will probably be included in this upcoming arc, this last one was lacking some true fab.

Pretty handy. Although they should probably kick him out before he picks out Torikos full course meal for him.

I think he should cameo in a few other mangas, just pop up for 3 panels, close up any long drawn-out side plots, and then break through a wall never to be seen again.

Well looks like there will be a timeskip, just much shorter than 20 years. The scene where they were trying to regrow Toriko's arm was hilarious though.

What other way could Toriko get his arm back besides eating it back into existence?

So, is Komatsu wealthy or is he using funds from his job? I don't think he was ever said to have a sponsor.

Good call. I figured it would be an egg from the penguin.

Also, I love ridiculous animal items. It's like the Flintstones.

I was expecting that too. Although, it would be an unnecessarily dark turn of events. They already killed the little penguin's parents. Those people didn't even justify the killing by eating them either!

Man, this manga has weird ideas about food, but the story is still awesome.

It wouldn't necessaily be dark; maybe the penguin accidentally falls into a vat of soup and Komatsu says something about honoring its sacrifice with big googly crying anime eyes while drooling uncontrollably.

That works for one batch of soup. If Komatsu ever wanted to make the dish he dedicated the last 18 months of his life to again he would need to buy baby penguins, the fresher the better.

Alright, just finished catching up with this manga, it's loving awesome and I'm glad I took the time to read it, I love everything in it.
The world reminds me a lot of Hunter X Hunter's world, if Gourmet Hunter was the most badass job on earth, and also One Piece with theme-parks like countries/cities.

I can't wait for the awesome reaction of Toriko to the Century Soup.

It is probably for the best that Toriko didn't try eating his severed arm. Perfectly marbled fat and muscle from an animal with a high capture level in perfect health. Who could stop at just one limb?

Saw the first post and was hooked immediately. Just read everything, and now I desperately want to consume more. drat fine series, almost like a sillier Dragon Ball, but with food and better jokes.
You guys are right, some (most) of the translations are horrible, but somehow it still works, just fine.

Anything similarly good out right now? I keep hearing One Piece, perhaps it's time I check that out...
