Come on guys the theme of this chapter was about Breaking Rules, meaning they are gonna find a way to break the rule of it taking 20 years and finish faster! Like any true shounen hero getting mad powers in just a few days when it takes all other characters a life time. I'm glad to see Sani will probably be included in this upcoming arc, this last one was lacking some true fab. motherfish fucked around with this message at May 27, 2010 around 15:32 |

I instantly like this new guy, if only for his insane ability to tie every plotline up within 3 pages while smoking branches.

Well looks like there will be a timeskip, just much shorter than 20 years. The scene where they were trying to regrow Toriko's arm was hilarious though.

What other way could Toriko get his arm back besides eating it back into existence?

So, is Komatsu wealthy or is he using funds from his job? I don't think he was ever said to have a sponsor.

Anyone notice how they have mentioned Earth in the last couple of issues? I cannot imagine our animals being more than a capture level 2 or 3.

That works for one batch of soup. If Komatsu ever wanted to make the dish he dedicated the last 18 months of his life to again he would need to buy baby penguins, the fresher the better.

Alright, just finished catching up with this manga, it's loving awesome and I'm glad I took the time to read it, I love everything in it. The world reminds me a lot of Hunter X Hunter's world, if Gourmet Hunter was the most badass job on earth, and also One Piece with theme-parks like countries/cities. I can't wait for the awesome reaction of Toriko to the Century Soup.

The best reaction would be if he ripped his arm off. "THIS TASTES SO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD" ________________/

It is probably for the best that Toriko didn't try eating his severed arm. Perfectly marbled fat and muscle from an animal with a high capture level in perfect health. Who could stop at just one limb?

Saw the first post and was hooked immediately. Just read everything, and now I desperately want to consume more. drat fine series, almost like a sillier Dragon Ball, but with food and better jokes. You guys are right, some (most) of the translations are horrible, but somehow it still works, just fine. Anything similarly good out right now? I keep hearing One Piece, perhaps it's time I check that out... Jedah fucked around with this message at Jun 6, 2010 around 20:43 |
