I was actually going to buy that lower, but they won't ship to NY AND my transfer fee would have been $50...

The machining on the Rguns lower looks fine except for some flash around the back, but that'll be invisible anyway. The best part though? $183 after tax.

Got my lower together with a couple exceptions. I don't have a stock yet, so the rear pin/selector aren't in, and the cheapo grip included doesn't fit the lower. Did i mention i bought both the LPK and the lower from the same person at the same store?

This ears on the grip actually look bent inwards. Whatever though, this grip sucks and i wanted to replace it anyway.

Got the grip on by running hot water over it for a minute. I then proceeded to run to Zack's Sports to buy a mag and box of Wolf so i could practice slapping the mag into the lower like a badass.

As a former UPS employee, gently caress them. Tell the company the box wasn't delivered and you want a replacement. The company will hassle ups and get the money back.

Chamber has been soaking for 3 days in tri-flow and the casing is still utterly seized. I built an extractor tool with a dremel and screwdriver and am still having no luck. I might have to go to the gunsmith because I don't want to spend $150 on upper receiver action blocks and armorer tools etc in order to remove the barrel.

Mix acetone and transmission fluid. It's like kroil but cheaper and more effective.

I ran into a minor issue when trying to swap triggers. The RRA 2-stage trigger wouldn't work properly in it. When firing and holding on the trigger, the bolt carrier would hang up about 3/4 of the way back on the return stroke. Switched to a Geissele SSA and it worked fine.

I am now convinced i need a CQB hider.

You're trying to keep the look of a bayo lug? I never thought of that when I was making my upper CT legal. I wonder what the legality of a fake lug is? I assume if it can't be used to attach a bayo, it's no longer a bayonet lug...maybe. Also debating welding on a bit of slag or something to it so a bayo can't lock on, but would be removable later with mill/cutting wheel if i ever escape new york.

I'm just a fan of "solid" feeling furniture. Even the nicer plastic hand guards feel kinda "bleh" in my hands. I figure i could always just mill out a couple holes/slots for a rail panel if i decided to get a light or something and come out far ahead dollar wise in the end.

The Lower manufacturers you will see around TFR the most frequently will be Aero Precision (good and cheap) Surplus Arms & Ammo (Because they are made by Aero Precision and are good and cheap) Mega, (Because they are nice) Spike's (Because they are fairly cheap and match the spike's uppers people like to get even though they have a terrible rollmark) and the occasional BCM (pretty nice) , Noveske (Nice) Stag (ok) , DSA (cheap and ok).

He also might find Delaware Machinery lowers floating around. Mine was one of the last runs they made as they were closing down and it's still nicely made except for the mag release slot being slightly angled. Doesn't even have a roll mark.
