The machining on the Rguns lower looks fine except for some flash around the back, but that'll be invisible anyway. The best part though? $183 after tax.

Got my lower together with a couple exceptions. I don't have a stock yet, so the rear pin/selector aren't in, and the cheapo grip included doesn't fit the lower. Did i mention i bought both the LPK and the lower from the same person at the same store?

This ears on the grip actually look bent inwards. Whatever though, this grip sucks and i wanted to replace it anyway.

Got the grip on by running hot water over it for a minute. I then proceeded to run to Zack's Sports to buy a mag and box of Wolf so i could practice slapping the mag into the lower like a badass.

They should give a poo poo because they are paid to give a poo poo. It might not feel like great vengeance but its the best thing you can do to make sure it doesn't happen again. As a former UPS employee, gently caress them. Tell the company the box wasn't delivered and you want a replacement. The company will hassle ups and get the money back. also, buy the guy who brought it to you a beer.

What is the smallest/fewest number of cuts i can make to make my bayonet lug unusable? I could just take the spinning cut of wheel of finger death to it in one fell swoop, but where's the fun in that?

SFH1989 posted:You're trying to keep the look of a bayo lug? I never thought of that when I was making my upper CT legal. I wonder what the legality of a fake lug is? I'm really happy the place I took it to has muzzle bakes that look just like A2 flash hiders. Most of the other brakes I've seen don't look right to me. I assume if it can't be used to attach a bayo, it's no longer a bayonet lug...maybe. Also debating welding on a bit of slag or something to it so a bayo can't lock on, but would be removable later with mill/cutting wheel if i ever escape new york.

What do you guys think of the cheaper free float tubes like this? I can't afford even a "cheap" railed one like a YHM, but i'd like something nice and sturdy for my current project. (16" barrel, rifle gas)

Atticus_1354 posted:Why do you have to have free float? I have heard that the Hogue is solid, but heavy. I'm just a fan of "solid" feeling furniture. Even the nicer plastic hand guards feel kinda "bleh" in my hands. I figure i could always just mill out a couple holes/slots for a rail panel if i decided to get a light or something and come out far ahead dollar wise in the end.
