When I shake it is says something to me in Russian, ма́терный язы́к . I wonder what that means?

Miso's Sharkfin AK originally had an M249 gas-piston thing added; later, he tried AR flash-hiders on the ambi-handle. Regarding the "bolt" bolt-handle - did Cyrano4747's dad do that? I know he did a steel nut added to the hammer or a muzzleloading rifle...

ChlorineTrifluoride posted:http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vi...?Item=137307317 That's what it looks like when a professional does the job and not some redneck and his favorite hacksaw. I've seen lots of 1917s and other old milsurp with similar stocks. All I can say is that if I was a middle class hunter 50 years ago they are the type of gun I would want. Fun Fact, the CMP used to sell sporterized Mosin M1891 for $24. The standard untouched ones were $3. This was about 90 years ago during the government gun maker bailout after the Russian Revolution resulted in a bunch of Mosins no one wanted. omgLerkHat! posted:People like a mystery. I gave a friend of mine one of my extra Arisaka bayonets, since she likes weaponry and Japanese stuff. Another friend said it still smelled like blood. I almost felt bad telling them that it was just the oil I used to clean and protect it in storage. Maybe I should have sold it saying it still smelled of some unknown blood-like odor and got some more money for it.

How can something be specific and unknown? The creepiest part of this is that the first thing the person that buys it is going to do is smack their face in the middle of it and take a huge sniff. Thats fuckin weird.

I love how in the same sentence as them saying to respect the victims, they talk it up and say how valuable it is, therefore what a steal they are selling it for.

I think the support for the war on liberals is hypothetical at this point. We need to get some straight shooters in to power who will commit to squashing this creeping menace before we actually see the support, but it will manifest itself. Likely in the form of a bumper sticker.

There's also an Д but honestly if Gunbroker is the first place you've seen half-assed fake-Cyrillic I'm surprised.
|
| # ? Aug 23, 2009 07:35 |

It's doubly funny (like all half-assed Cyrillic), because the letters that "match" english letters don't even make the same sound, frequently. "Д", for example, makes the same rough sound as the latin "d". That version of "Change" would actually read something like "Sndie" - "G" is gibberish in Cyrillic"
