I think a lot of people that don't have experience of writing for a specific client don't realise the limitations of what they can do. It's one thing to have a creative vision, but when you work for someone the majority of the time you will be writing to a specific brief that the company has in mind. I can't see that writing for the WWE would be any different.

Part of the fun of being a smark is thinking you know better than the professionals and then allowing yourself to be proven wrong. I thought doing HBK/UT again would be a mistake and they could never live up to the build or the match. They are living up to the build really well. I didn't think doing Black and Aries again could possibly be a good idea, and was proven wrong. Wrestling is really fun that way.

But when you think you know better, and nothing companies or wrestlers can do can live up to your ideas... what is the point.

You're missing the entire point of what I said, though that doesn't surprise me.

I'm not saying he should have been bashing TNA.

Nobody is saying he needs to go around making GBS threads all over TNA while he works for them. The point was that if you're going to swallow your pride to take that paycheck from TNA, you really have absolutely no place or business making GBS threads all over anyone else.

If he was making GBS threads on the industry in general, I wouldn't have a problem with it.

I just think singling out organizations for lovely booking or lovely writing or whatever, when you work for and lend your name and reputation to the absolute worst offender, is bush league and insanely hypocritical.

I COMPLETELY understand why he wouldn't bash TNA. I totally understand. I just think that working for TNA leaves him no place to single out any organization for doing what TNA does to a lesser extent.

But I'll let this die with this post because I don't feel like being probated or anything like that.
