Regime change at Yahoo didn't see MMA as a "thing", so they decided to just have a boxing writer cover it because boxing is still a "thing". And as seen, they're going very User Generated Content focused.

Did Angle ever consider MMA? He obviously had the amateur wrestling background, and he seems like the sort of guy who wants to prove he's a legit badass,.

When he was first in TNA, he and Dana White had talks about him coming to UFC. I believe talks broke down because Angle wanted to do both.

True. But I actually believe young Taker would've been GOOD, not just interested in trying it.

I believe the story is that Kurt keeps insisting that Dana is interested in him and has this obsessive need for validation from UFC but Dana has repeatedly insisted that he does not want Kurt Angle and has never talked to him about a contract

They have made two serious offers to Angle, one for a contract in 2006 that would start with a Daniel Puder fight. Angle turned it down to do TNA. In 2009 Dana approached Angle about joining the TUF Heavyweights cast and Kurt turned that down. Angle has completely inflated his claims about Dana's interest and offers to him to the point where it sounds like he is making everything up.

Roy Nelson was awful in TUF. All he did was lay on top of people and win, he wasn't very powerful, his stamina was low. He just literally sat on people until the ref called the match.

Shocking that a guy faced with winning 3 fights in 6 weeks would take the path of least resistance. It is however not shocking that someone would declare a guy who beat all of his opponents with ease and embarrassed them looked "awful."

This guy owns, he looks like some kid found a loophole for the create-a-fighter in a UFC game. "If I make my dude fat enough, he can just lay on people and the other player has to waste their entire stamina bar trying to wiggle out!"
