Series 3 was pretty rubbish I thought, although the Aceveda arc was fantastically uncomfortable to watch. I wouldn't say it's as good as the Wire, just because the Wire delves so much further below the surface, whereas the Shield barely touches on the criminal side of things.

It's just now that every time I see him I think to myself "You know, that guy sucked a dick." Still season 3: The worst thing about it is that every now and then afterwards he seems to swirl around his mouth as if there's still a bad taste there, and then there are the periodical scenes where he washes his mouth out in the barns bathroom. Very uncomfortable television.
