The Shield is the only serial show that ever held my interest the entire way through. As good as the early seasons were, it gets a lot, LOT better when the biggest drama bomb ever drops. You'll know it when you see it if you watch it the whole way through. Never once did it get too outrageous maybe the last season when it just seemed like Vic was trying to see how much poo poo he could possibly put in his pile before it all hit the fan, but that was so much fun to watch or "jump the shark" in any way.
