This show has already turned my brain into mush, and I have limited Internet capability, so I don't care if this is a stupid question. Is that a photoshop?

Looks like it, googling doesn't turn up anything, and nothing is listed on a quick check of blogs that would report this sort of thing. Also, why would they release it on the Xbox360, the least popular current gen console in Japan? Finally, the game is rated 'Z', equivalent to the ESRB 'AO' rating. I doubt a K-ON! version of Guitar Hero would be rated Z. Still, I would buy Cageyake! Girls as DLC in an instant if it was offered.

Xbox has Idolmaker so I would guess the type of people that would buy a moe themed guitar hero controller already have the system.

This new episode just redeemed the whole series for me. I hope it stays like this now, instead of fan service episodes.

Episode 6 has the worst depicted live performance I've seen in anime, I think. Huge disappointment, considering Haruhi.

Their live song was pretty forgettable and not too great, where as the song from the Haruhi one was much better in my opinion, even though I've only watched it twice and it's been like two years at least since I last heard it. Kinda disappointing considering the theme of this series.

I warned you people (actually I didn't) but you still got your hopes up that the music was going to be good.

Wow, a song that had lyrics about fluffy bunnies and written by inexperienced beginners isn't really great. Who woulda thought it. Plus if you want a live scene done like Haruhi then you should just watch the live scene in Haruhi. From the sounds of things I thought that the animation quality in the scene would be dreadful, and it was, but they masked over their lack of budget pretty well by not even trying to do another Haruhi. But the most important thing is that the rest of the show would be much better if Yui's voice broke permanently.

I kind of like episode 6. It was absolutely a step down from the last one, but this show is still really entertaining.

I thought episode 6 was okay until that loving ending, christ. How do you even go from episode 1/2/5 to fanservice as blatant as this? It's just one step forwards two steps back with this show Also, the music video was pretty obviously put in there to save money on animating the actual concert, seeing as you barely see them play at all. I guess if the alternative is a concert animated like the ED then it's the lesser of two evils. But why exactly do they need to be stingy with the animation budget in the first place, I thought like a bajillion people were watching this?

I think you guys are confused. Turns out, this show isn't Haruhi or whatever with instruments, it's Jem and the Holograms with Moe.

Xythar posted:Because it's a lot easier to just draw them statically driving someplace in a car than it is to do all the intricate animations of them performing music? But that's not what the music video was. It had its fair share of still shots, but had plenty of animation too. ![]() I guess I don't see why you think it's more difficult to compile a few mid-range shots of them playing their instruments while making generic gestures (strumming, banging drums, thumping on the keyboard) and play those on loop, than it is to generate a music video.
