the code copy one loads a flash file in the background right when you click the 'copy to clipboard' text

and i think the tynt script works like this:
1. hooks onto document.body.oncopy so it runs a function right after pressing ctrl+c but before the browser copies the highlighted text
2. grabs the current selected text
3. adds a hidden span with the 'read more' text right after it
4. changes the selection to include that hidden span. so once it returns the browser copies everything

so without flash, its not so much that you can copy anything to clipboard, but more of a thing where you can override the selection when the user triggers a copy

dropbox has a button to copy urls when you get a public link for a file from their website, i dont think it uses flash so maybe look at that

actually it doesn't work on safari even if you enable flash

here is my test file

the dropbox method works in chrome but it's definitely a flash button

current one they asked me to write some python code, I misheard them when they said 'single-threaded' and wrote something multi-threaded.

the technical interview was excellent. i'd accidentally done the work they were going to ask me to explain. so we chatted about random poo poo for an hour.

javascript is a good choice because it is relatively easy to get started and show off what you've done.
