Not to mention you're right its overkill. I mean i suppose I could setup a webserver on my NAT with some downloads to a couple SSHFS type programs and just require myself to download the SSHFS on my computers I want to use it with.

why hasn't anyone made a custom linux CD that boots and automatically scans a computer for porno or cookies on dating websites, poo poo like that. advertise it on late night tv towards jealous girl/boyfriends or husbands/wives who want to snoop on their partner's computers. advertise it bypasses windows passwords, and make millions. welp theres my million dollar idea, somebody steal it.

Does anyone know of a utility that can report back on whether the BIOS on a PC is password protected or not? This would be for current Dells. Need to know for auditing, and I was hoping that wmic could report it, but no luck there. We're trying to avoid rebooting to check.

If I split the hdmi cable with a powered splitter to two different hd displays (a flatscreen and a projector) will there be any signal freakout of trying to report 2 different device names at once?

does tee open files in append mode? you could make it so whatever commands he executes, the output also gets redirected to /dev/dsp so it made funky noises whenever he executes commands
