I've found a few bands I like on:
https://totaldeathcore.bandcamp.com/music

I haven't listened to their whole discography or anything but I've listened to a lot and there's some good and some par for the course stuff. I'm enjoying some specifically heavy poo poo like-

The Strategem:
https://totaldeathcore.bandcamp.com/album/self-titled-ep

Decades of Despair - Alive (gets a bit tech-y):
https://totaldeathcore.bandcamp.com/album/alive

God Of Nothing - Tormentor:

Not new but I just discovered:
Depths of Hatred - Aversionist:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEVu0ZuOMJ4

Aversions Crown has a new album coming out next month, here's one of the new tracks:

Was gonna mention this myself. Track 8, I think it is, has a very cool cameo from Jason Butler of letlive. Honestly, after about 4 spins this album may be TGI's best IMO.

Jason's spot hosed with me pretty hard at first. I saw his name and was expecting something closer to the track he did with Stray From the Path, not the ridiculous (in a good way) Michael Jackson-sounding verse. The man is so drat versatile.

And he's an absolute beast live too. Very, very talented vocalist and frontman.

Yep. First time I saw them was in 2011 I think, right before Fake History was re-released through Epitaph. It was The Human Abstract's headlining tour, but they dropped out a few nights prior due to personal issues and left the opening bands to fend for themselves. The whole situation was a clusterfuck, maybe ten people showed up, and the venue was some tiny-rear end youth club that apparently hosts wholesome young adult raves where 13-year-olds dance awkwardly to Christian dubstep and get hosed up on Monster Energy drinks. It was the most loving surreal concert experience of my life, I had no idea what to expect, and then letlive. came out and just loving killed it, complete with Jason climbing railings, sprinting across the bar, and riding a chubby dude like an asthmatic horse.

I've seen them a few more times since then. They've been great every time, but I don't think anything will top that first show and "holy poo poo, what the gently caress just happened?" spectacle of it.

Master of the high hat!
What do people think of the new Acacia Strain? Although it gets repetitive towards the end, the first half is loving CRUSHING. I really enjoyed it, it sounds more like a return to Continents-era Acacia Strain with a couple of new tricks up their sleeve. The song "Send Help" absolutely slays.

I think the general consensus around here is that it owns bones. So does the new Unearth. October was a good month.

If you divide the album into two halves and exclude the Observer, I think that Graveyard Shift is the weakest song on the album, which makes the second half harder to sit through. Bridgepainter is solid and Whale Shark, imo, is even better. Delusionalisphere is sort of unremarkable but does have one of the best moments on the whole album: "I wish there was a hell so you could go there to rot, I wish there was a god so I could slit his loving throat" is delivered with such intensity over an awesome riff with those squealing guitars. loving love it.

Wamsutta
Sep 9, 2001

Every track is a banger in my opinion except Delusionalisphere which I consider pretty forgettable and I usually skip to Observer after Whale Shark. Whale Shark is my jam. The whole album rules and I still haven't stopped playing it pretty much daily.

Coma Witch also makes me wish they'd re-record DITOM with an actual producer instead of DL. I liked DL but man oh man he was crap at production.

Yeah, the production on DITOM was really lousy. Easily the thing I disliked the most about it. It's like listening to something underwater.

Wamsutta
Sep 9, 2001

The guitars are super loud and buzzy/muddy and the vocals are buried. I didn't mind it when it came out but after hearing Coma Witch, listening to DITOM annoys me. Every song on there could be better with good production.

Getting back into the genre, When I heard the first few tracks I downloaded Death is the only Mortal and Wormwood, waiting a for Coma Witch to come out.

I listed to DIOM exclusively at first, but all I could hear was "chow chow chow chow chow!" From poorly mixed guitars.

Now I go between Coma Witch and Wormwood exclusively, BTM FDR is my favorite of all tracks, but I love the shot out of COMA WITCH and now I'm sad that I've not found other bands who kick rear end quite the same way.

Continent is my favorite, it's just got a groove and pace that none of the other albums have. Coma Witch is pretty close behind it, though.
