Great thread, OP. I realize you're relatively new to the field, but how has the rise of technology affected design and traffic analysis? It seems like computer modeling would be an incredible time saver. And, along those lines, where do you see it going in the next 20 years (or longer)? Do you think technological advances (either in paving/planning or car design) will help with the growing pains?
