So what, are you quitting to join Homo Explosion?

Hmm, finally made it through the thread, and I have to say I went through all those steps. I'm not sure how ironically I like Lady Gaga. Maybe I actually like her now?

My one beef with Bad Romance is that is sounds like it drags. Like it's slightly under its ideal tempo. I was talking to a fagoon about it and he made a sped up version of it for me and I think it sits a lot better since it drives instead of slops along. But yeah it's catchy.

I'm glad you're receiving her rerelease so well, I'll have to pick it up.

I don't really like Lady Gaga. She's so stupid and weird! I will say half her album is quite good. Oh my god I might be gay. You know what, I'm going to buy those Lady Gaga tickets and I don't care what the guys at the lodge think.

I once heard someone say... Lady Gaga is powered by six gays, telling her what to do, what to sing, what to wear... Crazy bitch!

It's just a joke, but somewhat true, with her constant references to her Haus of Gaga (re: her recent interview with Ryan Seacrest).

then it is also referencing, perhaps, the menstrual cycle?

In the very same interview mentioned above, she recounts how MTV execs warned her about the prop blood she planned to use... don't get any near your crotchial region. She thought, what? Don't get any? That would be perfect!

She looks like a Pokemon in that picture. Like I should capture her right now.

Jesus why do people act like Lady Gaga isn't like every other pop artist?

Because she isn't? She doesn't look wholesome and blond (like... regular blond). She's not "another teen pop start" cranked out of a machine. She was the immaculate conception of six gay men. And she can actually play the piano and sing at the same time, an ability she's demonstrated more than once.

When's the last time you saw a Taylor Swift get eaten by a gyroscope dress? Never.

She's a goon, basically. Lady Gaga's interview on Ellen, wherein she reveals her motivation for her appearance/fashion (to provide a space for those who similarly did not "fit in").

When I hear Just Dance, I think of her appearance on the 2008 Miss Universe competition and the fashion "stomp" walk.

Also, in the music video for LoveGame, it feels like she's evoking multiple idols, but I'm not sure who. Three influences that stand out for me, and are not necessarily tied to the idols I think she's imitating... 1) The chain mail mask makes me think of King Arthur, or some sort of knighthood. 2) Being the head of an underground gang makes me think of Callisto featured in the Fox X-men series. 3) That light staff makes me think of Gandalf the Great/White/Shark.

Alejandro is so flat... Maybe I'm not being sympathetic enough? Like not every track can be a hit? Compare to the albums of NSYNC or Justin Timberlake. (you wanna fight about it?) Nearly every song sticks out and is great. Except for the non-single ballads.

The Fame Monster just isn't doing it for me... And I only like about half of Fame (the exact half that Pandora recommended to me using Britney's Circus as a seed).

Does this do anything for you?

Yeah it's a little better. It's almost the exact same emotions I went through with Bad Romance. Someone linked me I guess an early version of Bad Romance which sounded a little slow, so we sped it up. Then the real version came out and it was at a nice clip. For this version of Alejandro, it's a little too fast, but it doesn't drag like the original, which is good (I hate dragging). If it were slowed a skosh it would be the ideal tempo.

Also I have a really lovely sound system so maybe I'm not appreciating the songs in their fullest form... Maybe up tempo, with club speakers...? Drunk?

I'm almost certain I have to take back what I said about the Fame Monster. My speakers are horrible and flatten everything. I was listening to Teeth with my buds and it sounded super catchy, so I'm assuming the rest of the album can follow.

The Telephone video was great. Watched it like three times.

Err, I was all excited about getting tickets for her New York show since I missed her first four, but the tickets were like $200-$400... Whatever, I'm not really in the mood to burn, especially since I have my eye on the iPad.
