'Startocaster' is more fun to say than I expected.

I hope that English was not that person's first language, judging by his name, most likely not, because I could barely tell what the hell he was talking about. It was too painful to read past the second letter.

However, I did like that he could not accept a birth certificate issued by the state of Hawaii as proof of his birth, but somehow knows that Obama was born in Kenya and an citizen of Indonesia, with no proof of any kind except maybe circumstance?

Haha, that's funny I'm from there too, and never ever want to go back. Alberta == the Texas of Canada. Though I'm not sure what you're talking about, since it still has universal health care. B.C. has the same health charges that you have pay which are only if you earn enough, same as Alberta. Although maybe it changed recently? I was there only 1 year ago though, and had 100% free healthcare, so I think you're definition of universal might not be the same as mine.

They did try to abolish the system though, and Alberta was the only province in Canada to oppose gay marriage.

The last Premier of Alberta was also a complete drunk

and famous for stumbling into a homeless shelter after a hard night of drinking, yelling at the homeless people to get a job, and throwing money on the floor.

Alberta is also home to the some of the world's worst environmental disasters that no one talks about.

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd - Australia

Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on
Wednesday to get out of Australia , as the government targeted
radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks.

Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by
saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques.
Quote: 'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It.
I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some
individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we
have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of
Australians'.

'This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles,
trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought
freedom'. 'We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic,
Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you
wish to become part of our society . Learn the language!'

'Most Australians believe in God. This is not some Christian, right
wing, political push, but a fact, because Christian men and women, on
Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly
documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of
our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another
part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our
culture.'

'We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why. All we ask is
that you accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with
us.'

'This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow
you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done
complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our
Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take
advantage of one other great Australian freedom,

'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'.'

'If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come
here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.'

Maybe if we circulate this , American citizens will find the backbone
to start speaking and voicing the same truths.

If you agree, please SEND THIS ON.

What would you say if I gave you 11 reasons why the elections in 2010
will be the most important in the history of the United States?

1. What if I had told you in October 2008, before the last
presidential election, that before Barack Obamas first 100 days in
office, the federal government would be in control of both the
mortgage and the banking industries? That 19 of Americas largest
banks would be forced to undergo stress tests by the federal
government which would determine that they were insufficiently
capitalized so they must be supervised by the government?

Would you have said, Cmon, that will never happen in America?"

2. What if I had told you that within Barack Obamas first 100 days
in office the federal government would be the largest shareholder in
the US Big Three automakers Ford, GM, and Chrysler? That the
government would kick out the CEOs of these companies and appoint
hand-picked executives with zero experience in the auto industry and
that executive compensation would be determined not by a Board of
Directors but by the government?

Would you have said, Cmon, that will never happen in America?

3. What if I had told you that Barack Obama would appoint 21 Czars,
without congressional approval, accountable only to him not to the
voters who would have control over a wide range of US policy
decisions? That there would be a Stimulus Accountability Czar, an
Urban Czar, a Compensation Czar, an Iran Czar, an Auto Industry Czar,
a Cyber Security Czar, an Energy Czar, a Bank Bailout Czar, and more
than a dozen other government bureaucrats with unchecked regulatory
powers over US domestic and foreign policy?

Would you have said, Cmon, that will never happen in America?

4. What if I had told you that the federal deficit would be $915
billion in the first six months of the Obama presidency - with a
projected annual deficit of $1.75 trillion - triple the $454.8
billion in 2008, for which the previous administration was highly
criticized by Obama and his fellow Democrats? That congress would
pass Obamas $3.53 trillion federal budget for fiscal 2010? That the
projected deficit over the next ten years would be greater than $10
trillion?

Would you have said, Cmon, that will never happen in America?

5. What if I had told you that the Obama Justice Department would
order FBI agents to read Miranda rights to high-value detainees
captured on the battlefield and held at US military detention
facilities in Afghanistan? That Obama would order the closing of the
Guantanamo detention facility with no plan for the disposition of the
200-plus individuals held there? That several of the suspected
terrorists at Guantanamo would be sent to live in freedom in Bermuda
at the expense of the US government? That our returning US veterans
would be labeled terrorists and put on a watch list.

Would you have said, Cmon, that will never happen in America?

6. What if I had told you that the federal government would seek
powers to seize key companies whose failures could jeopardize the
financial system? That a new regulatory agency would be proposed by
Obama to control loans, credit cards, mortgage-backed securities, and
other financial products offered to the public?

Would you have said, Cmon, that will never happen in America?

7. What if I had told you that Obama would travel to the Middle East,
bow before the Saudi king, and repeatedly apologize for Americas past
actions? That he would travel to Latin America where he would warmly
greet Venezuelas strongman Hugo Chavez and sit passively in the
audience while Nicaraguan Marxist thug Daniel Ortega charged America
with terrorist aggression in Central America? Would you have said,
Cmon, that will never happen in America?

8. Okay, now what if I were to tell you that Obama wants to dismantle
conservative talk radio through the imposition of a new Fairness
Doctrine? That he wants to curtail the First Amendment rights of
those who may disagree with his policies via internet blogs, cable
news networks, or advocacy ads? That most major network television
and most newspapers will only sing his phrases like state run media
in communist countries?

Would you say, Cmon, that will never happen in America?

9. What if I were to tell you that the Obama Justice Department is
doing everything it can to limit your Second Amendment rights to keep
and bear arms? That the federal government wants to reinstate the
so-called assault weapons ban which would prohibit the sale of any
type of firearm that requires the shooter to pull the trigger every
time a round is fired? That Obamas Attorney General wants to
eliminate the sale of virtually all handguns and ammunition, which
most citizens choose for self-defense?

Would you say, Cmon, that will never happen in America?

10. What if I were to tell you that the Obama plan is to eliminate
states rights guaranteed by the Tenth Amendment and give the federal
government sweeping new powers over policies currently under the
province of local and state governments and voted on by the people?
That Obama plans to control the schools, energy production, the
environment, health care, and the wealth of every US citizen?

Would you say, Cmon, that will never happen in America?

11. What if I were to tell you that the president, the courts, and
the federal government have ignored the US Constitution and have
seized powers which the founders of our country fought to restrict?
That our last presidential election may have been our last truly free
election for some time to come? That our next presidential election
may look similar to the one recently held in Iran?

I know, I know what you will say, That will never happen in
America.

Saw this post on Huffington and thought of this thread. The author had a systems analyst go back through the paths of a bunch of right-wing FWDs and found a large amount of them lead back to Patriot Depot.

quote:

A good deal of the "conservative revolution" is produced by Patriot Depot™, a division of Discount Book Distributors, a Georgia corporation founded in 2007 by Brandon Vallorani, an MBA with a graphic design background. His Chief Operating Officer is another MBA, Jay Taylor, whose undergraduate degree was in computer engineering.

Patriot Depot, which advertises "Supplies for the Conservative Revolution," now has nine employees in White Hall, West Virginia, mostly packing and shipping books, DVDs, bumper stickers, and t-shirts with original messages like, I'll keep my guns, freedom & money... you can keep the "change!" Taylor told me that the company has sold nearly 100,000 Keep the "change!" bumper stickers.

Almost every day, Patriot Depot sends more than 100,000 individuals emails with original content such as "The Ten Commandments According to Obama"-- the first of which is:

quote:

Thou shalt have no God in America, except for me. For we are no longer a Christian nation and, after all, I am the chosen One. (And like God, I do not have a birth certificate.)

These "Commandments" also are for sale at Patriot Depot on a t-shirt.

Which brings us to emailers with itchy FWD fingers.

"We hope they'll forward the emails on," Taylor says. He acknowledges that such people serve as unwitting salespeople in a multi-tiered marketing system, like Amway's.

He is reluctant to divulge the resulting annual sales, other than "between one and ten million dollars." An educated guess is $3.5 million. "Initially it was a business opportunity," he says. "Then we saw an opportunity to get the message out."

Sometimes there just isn't a Psyduck big enough.

When I lived in small town, Iowa, a friend of mine's family had old racist posters from the 1920's-1930's hanging as art. No, they weren't historians, or hipsters who thought it was funny ironic. I could see them originating and sending this email around. I'm not the smartest guy, but how can you live with such ignorance and hatred, that really was the worst email yet.

My grandmother is old fashioned racist like this, and a beautiful thing happened. She was on a flight to Las Vegas, and she was seated next to the nicest black man I've ever met. He was in his 40's, polite, well spoken, had a better job than she or any of her kids ever had, and talked to her the whole flight about the old days. Afterward, I could honestly see my grandmother's attitudes slightly change, just because she lived so isolated from society and had never met a black person that didn't meet her predetermined schema. I think a lot of people who think like this just really haven't met/talked with/given a chance to enough people.

Texas/Louisiana-American Annexation Treaty of 1848.)

No such treaty exists. And states don't have the right to secede. The Supreme Court and the Civil War say so.

Heh, my friend got another email from the crazy Republicans in his law classes:

Batshit-crazy R-OK Rep. Mary Fallin posted:

Dear Friends,

Health care reform is on everyone’s minds these days – and rightfully so. Congress is debating health care proposals right now that could have a dramatic impact on your health care coverage and your pocketbook.

During the congressional recess, I traveled across the state and met with hundreds of Oklahomans, small-business owners and medical professionals. All of them expressed their concerns to me about the proposals being debated in Congress, but they all agreed with me that the last thing we need is a government takeover of the health care system!

The President has spent a lot of time "explaining" to the American people why they need to embrace his plan for a larger role for the federal government in their health care. But Oklahomans already understand his plan; we just don't like it -- period. And while I'm in Congress, you can rest assured that I will continue to fight Obamacare and any other plan proposing a government takeover of our health care system.

As I listened to the President’s speech last night, I thought he missed the opportunity to talk about real reforms to lower our health care costs immediately like enacting lawsuit reform, allowing competition across state lines in the health insurance industry and emphasizing preventative care.

In Oklahoma, we’ve seen many doctors leave the state (in rural areas especially) because it costs too much to practice medicine. As Governor, I would fight for tougher lawsuit reforms that address this problem and in turn lower everyone’s health insurance costs.

If we can go online or call an 800 number to purchase car insurance from a company in Texas, Kansas or Arkansas, why can’t we do the same to purchase health insurance? As Governor, I will push to create state exchanges where Oklahomans can purchase health insurance plans from out-of-state providers.

Finally, we must emphasize preventative care. We spend far too much money in Oklahoma to treat preventable illnesses like heart disease, Type II diabetes, cancer, stroke and chronic lung diseases. We don’t need a huge bureaucracy or new program to address these epidemics right now. I would use the Governor’s office as a platform to encourage Oklahomans to eat healthier, exercise more and take better care of themselves!

The rising costs of health care are a burden on our state budget and your family’s budget. As Governor, I will work to lower the costs of health insurance, providing immediate relief to those working families with insurance and providing an opportunity to those who are uninsured to purchase health care coverage.

Thanks and God Bless,
Mary Fallin

Did I mention she's pushing for governor now? It doesn't appear that she really listened much to the speech.

She was too busy twittering to listen:

Er, not true. States have the right to secede, but a majority of the other states have to agree to the secession.

Of course that's never going to happen, but still.

I dunno. I'm kinda in favor at this point of just kicking out the South. Seriously, they don't do anything useful and they take way more money than they return. Hate blacks so much?

I would of course offer asylum to any people in the new CSA who were, y'know, human.

I've been having a heated debate with a friend on Facebook, which I realize already is seven kinds of retarded. What started it off was a link to Bill Moyer's transcript

http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/0...ranscript3.html

His response:

quote:

Interesting article. I would say people who oppose government run health care are probably the same people who have opposed it in the past, not racist. More like people who see an ever expanding corrupt, wasteful, government that knows no bounds. Notice the unfunded liabilities medicare, medicaid, social security... At some point we will have to pay for all of this - http://www.usdebtclock.org

Mine:

quote:

Correlation does not imply causation. He's not saying people who oppose it are because they're racist, that's intellectually dishonest of you. It's the same people who already suffer from other cases of forced ignorance such as Obama is not a U.S. citizen, he wants death panels, etc. Why is it the people who have the most are the angriest? There is a permanent angry class in America, that's always protesting against those who also want a chance to get theirs.

You don't see the uninsured minorities protesting outside of politician's offices brandishing guns, like the hillbillies that attend town hall meetings.

http://tinyurl.com/pp4b7r... Read More

Imagine a white president with black people carrying guns to town hall meetings. How many arrests and police beatings that would bring about?

You mention the debt, which is hilarious because Obama's predecessor left Obama $1 trillion in debt. It will cost more to DO NOTHING than it will to reform health care.

Take your ideology elsewhere.

He finally sent me a private message full of the latest Glenn Beck talking points:

quote:

Most of the people who attend these townhall meetings are not hillbillies, they are democrats, republicans and independents. Who already pay exceptionally high taxes, I pay almost 40% of my income now, factoring all of my taxes together. I certainly do not make a large income. These people know that every government social program ever created has spiraled out of control, and multiplyed in costs. One of my personal fears is that this system will become the infamous "single payer". Many large corporations are for this bill knowing it will be a good way to undercut the competition, especially if they have to pay higher taxes for it anyway. My employer has already told us if it passes we will have it and we're small.

Many do not like some of Obama's advisors ideology, Like Van Jones the former green Jobs Czar he is a self professed communist (literally) and believes white people are poisoning minorities, we need completely new system for the operation in this country. Cass Sunstein-Director of regulatory affairs, has power to tweek how laws are interpreted. Believes animals have the right to take humans to court in lawsuits. Mark Lloyd the new FCC diversity Czar- Idolizes Hugo Chavez (Venezula) for the may he took over media in his revolution. John Holdren the Science Czar- believes in forced sterilants in the drinking water and forced population control. Ezekial Emanuel one of Obama's health care advisors believes in "complete lives system" (in an emergency situation, still scary)

This country was built on the idea of government allowing freedom of choice, success, failure and individualism. Not government "Abondoning free market principles to save the free market." - George W. Bush. Don't ask me how that makes sense. I have seen that the government has created most of the problems we are seeing today, they never want to solve the problems just throw money at it and hope it works. I observe all news sources and draw a conclusion. A guest on the daily not long ago said "there is an intellectual call to de-regulate." that is my call!

I guess it comes down to what your definition of liberty is: The right of the government to take as much of my (time) earnings as they see fit, no matter how rich or poor I am, and spend it on what they choose. Or is it my right to spend my labor with minimal infringement by govt. on what I see fit? Freedom works.

I have abondoned both parties, neither have our nation's best interest at heart, only personal agendas, power and re-election.

I'd like to get other's reactions to this before I post my own thoughts.

These responses are cracking me up.

He's 26. We became friends like 9 years ago when he was a cool stoner that liked to hang out, watch movies and play videogames. The funny part is he got a felony conviction for selling drugs. He moved back to Ohio where he came from and became this angry, 'THIS IS ARE COUNTRY' guy. He works at a nut factory where he cooks peanuts, cashews and almonds.
