There are two keyboards I'd like to see, so if anyone has any leads that'd be nice. 1) A "programmer's" keyboard. It should have separate keys for braces and parens at the very least, and spare function keys up the wazoo. Dual numpads would be nice too, but you can always buy a seperate USB numpad so that's not a big deal. 2) A mechanical switch keyboard that has media controls and/or extra function keys too.

Found a third-party Windows driver for Apple keyboards from a post on OCAU:bb7_rider;10929532 posted:Apple wireless keyboard helper. It's not without its flaws, most noticeably it just seems to randomly stop working and you have to close it and reopen it from time to time, and it doesn't like being put in your startup folder so you have to start it manually once your desktop is fully booted but it does work well when it works.

That razer looks a little gimmicky, but perhaps more worrying is that they say the key activation trigger is halfway through the travel. Why bother with a mechanical keyswitch if you're going to implement rubber dome deficiencies? And it has no media keys which sucks for a "gaming" keyboard.

So close, and yet so far. I'm grateful to see an actual Mac keypad on the thing, but the lack of separate media/volume keys is a killer. Putting Eject on the Help key is dumb also.

Well some keyboards just so happen to have particularly lovely matrices for certain games. My Dell doesn't do WDX for example which I personally can live with but is bound to be a deal-breaker for certain games that might use the X key for something important. Then we have Logitech which seems to be purposefully inventing terrible matrices on their cheaper keyboard lines to push people into far more expensive G series gear.

Assuming that you don't necessarily want a mechanical keyboard (since you didn't mention in your post), check out the Apple chiclet keyboard or its cheaper knockoffs. They have Function keys (half height) but no number pad/arrow key cluster.

It's one of the "multimedia" buttons on the top to toggle Win key off/on. Not sure if it remembers its state between boots or if it is even a hardware key at all.

Yeah, a few of us have been waiting for the Corsair keyboards for the last key months. I like that it has real media keys, and that it does magic 20KRO over USB. Main things I'm worries about are the non-mechanical keys on the rest of the board, and whether the 20KRO will work on OS X (their rep never got back to me.)
