my cat would rip those off until her claws bled and was destroying furniture/walls so we had to get her front-declawed she hasn't cared at all and was back to normal when we picked her up right after the surgery. couldn't even tell she had it. she is happier without the front claws because they don't get caught on crap and she'll actually play with her toys now. i am a monster. i don't give a gently caress.

im not a loving zoologist and i havent cut my cat's paw open to find it but it seems that the claws come from a pretty snug sheath and sticking a load of rubber around it might just have some kind of impact on their ability to and comfort in retracting their loving claws now how about you shut the gently caress up with your lovely loving diagrams and your loving goonsay BULLSHIT and gimme a straight loving answer jesus loving christ

its easy to trim a cats nails they're way more translucent than a dogs so you know exactly how much to trim and they aren't as thick. I guess you can get the nail covers if your cat is a psycho and tries to murder you if you try to trim them

soft paws are own b/c you can get them in dumb neon colors and poo poo also the cat completely forgets about them in about two days and if they get out and REALLY need to fight for their lives generally the force will pull them off (they're just held on with a dot of super glue) and they will have some good dog nose slashin' claws ready to go

Softpaws are good but they are a pain in the rear end to use, they dont give you enough replacement tips for the super glue to reattach ones that fall off. you get 90% of the less scratchiness by just clipping your cats nails, which you have to do anyway to put soft paws on. if they gave you 20 tips to the glue packets it woudl be better

when our cat got a blood test they got her in the front arm for it, and put this little mesh compression tube thingy over her arm she did this stupid little walk where she stiff-armed that one and limped around, swinging it out to the side think peg leg on a cat we felt so bad for her but laughed anyways
