Are they going to bring the anime back? I hate reading the manga because for half the panels in the manga you can't tell what the hell is going on. At least with the anime you could tell what was going on. Has the production on the anime been stopped for good?

Looks like the aliens are organ harvesters or here for meat. Also, note an interesting art callback: The guy talking about the dead sparrow likes to squish his face like Sebastian likes to...a hint he's watching things unfold as well? So who's already thinking pedo-stach, in the middle of all the death, plans to surprise sex Tae? You'd think that'd be TOO obvious, but Oku tends to go to great lengths to show how horribly selfish people are to each other, even in crisis situations. That 100 pointer was super creepy, especially when it turned into like an old lady, and was the only time in the manga where I felt like there was no way the gantzers could win. I think we might see them again since one of them was dedicated to be stronger and bring the girl back to life. In any other shounen it would be a given. Of course we could just see their mutilated corpses in a single transition panel.

Bugs me to no end how a manga with such good art and a neat premise is saddled with *hahahahaha story my rear end...'series of random things where often edgy violent/perverse stuff happens' is more accurate. I tried reading this and started getting tired of the same old tropes being trotted out again once things stopped exploding no one was doing anything other than run away and scream for about 6 issues in a row. The only reason for anyone over the age of 15 to take an interest in this dumb series ever is for the art. Wake me up when the series ends and the artist gets hooked up with If I want this kind of balls-to-the-walls brutality I'll read something in the vein of Ichi the Killer or Gunnm/battle angel alita. That first page is something straight out of some weird hentai. Things are getting pretty drat crazy, but it's pretty interesting. I'm really digging how the aliens are designed and the artist did a great job of making the "dog" both cute and unnerving.

Weeeell, at least we shouldn't have to worry too much about bug surprise sex for a little while. Oku got it out of his system, at least for the time being. Also, I'm really loving these aliens now. The parallels to human society are great. I wasn't sure what to think at first (I liked them, but wasn't 100%), but I'm sold now.
