Flanca, the world without: the boy backstage, the forgotten bouquet, the man in black, the painter.

Your move.

Edit:
So, what is this game?

quote:

The game is called "The World To Reverse", a visual novel translated during "altogether 2006", which is the visual novel fan translation equivalent of NaNoWriMo. In short, a bunch of people get together to translate a short freeware visual novel (none of them have the usual carton porn that commercial visual novels usually have). There has been 3 such events already for 2005, 2006 and 2008.

Due to my own stupidity (and some people argue that the game isn't that well-suited for an LP, but I stand by my decision), this LP is probably dead in the waters without audience participation. However, for the few people who wants to finish the game themselves and haven't already done so, I'm providing the download link.

The game can be downloaded at this URL http://at2006.haeleth.net/game.php?id=7

The game that I attempted to showcase, Flanca, is actually only one of the two games that make up TWTR. The other, Hallucinate, is unrelated story-wise but an interesting contrast to this game. e.g it's primary colour scheme is white, it has actual graphics and eerie sounding music made up of what seems to be a random noise generator and etc. I actually like that one better, so even if you played Flanca already, give that one a try.

The LP was inspired by an LP of an Interactive Fiction game called "Shrapnel" by Adam Cadre. If you're looking for more short stories that does weird stuff with the medium, check it out.

You can also try the other games that are translated on the altogether website, but I find this one to be the most memorable of the 2006 batch. I never tried any of the 2008 batch but I do recommend 2005's Narcissu for its almost professional quality, even if it's not really similar to these games.

Thanks for reading.

Maybe he's a Shakespearean actor, in which all the characters, male or female, are played by dudes.

Still not trustworthy! Actors are probably the least trustworthy of all. He could be acting right now and you'd never know it.

? According to the post times there's at least half an hour between them, as far as I can tell. And I'm actually aiming for like 5 votes before I update, but sure, I'll slow down.

So, that ends one playthrough, as the map implies, we're not done yet though! As my first LP, I need some feedback. Was I too fast for first few choices? Or would you not mind missing some of the votes? Not enough commentary? (As you noticed, most characters are kind of unnamed. Lone Wolf style hijinks might not be possible here)

...the fuuuuuuuuuuuck?!

I think we are in for a fun time here. Eagerly awaiting more

Edit: I think the original speed was a little too fast, but 10 votes per choice seems like a good benchmark.

Also voting for following the boy.

Follow the boy.

As far as the LP goes I'm enjoying it, if anything the lack of extra commentary leaves that much more to guess about. And judging by how quick it is to wind up dead I think it might be better to not wait for too many votes as it seems we'll be backtracking each time up until the fork that got us killed. Unless we get lucky.

Judging by the way the map is laid out I would guess us to be the at the very center from the start.
