There were four times as many people who picked the Rams to win versus who picked the Panthers to win. You're in an elite crowd

Anyways, my picks:

Washington at Atlanta - Atlanta's a great team, but if they blow this one, it's going to seriously hurt them.
Kansas City at Jacksonville - Note to Jacksonville: Give it to MJD. He's pretty good.
Green Bay at Tampa Bay - Don't give TB their first win GB.
Miami at New England - Miami's best games have been against divisional rivals this year, and they're built to play against a team like NE.
Houston at Indianapolis - I'm going with Indy, but if they're going to lose any game, it's this one.
Baltimore at Cincinnati - I really want to watch this one.
Arizona at Chicago - Arizona bounces back and takes it out on poor Chicago.
Detroit at Seattle - Seattle at home? Of course!
Carolina at New Orleans - I can't help but pick Carolina (HOMER ALERT), but after watching the Atlanta/NO game, the Panthers have a legitimate shot. One of the best pass D's in the league, and we have our running game back on track. It's definitely possible.
San Diego at NY Giants - Giving the edge to the home team here.
Tennessee at San Francisco - Tennessee's still a bad team.
Dallas at Philadelphia - Dallas actually looks good, but so did NYG before they played the Eagles.
Pittsburgh at Denver - Pittsburgh isn't as good as Baltimore is this year.

Washington at Atlanta - Washington is just awful. Really hoping Campbell gets benched so maybe the Hawks can pick him up as a project QB.
Kansas City at Jacksonville - Kansas is just... welp.
Green Bay at Tampa Bay - Same goes for Tampa.
Miami at New England - Home team in a divisional game.
Houston at Indianapolis - Doesnt Houston usually play Indy close? Either way, I cant pick against the Colts right now.
Baltimore at Cincinnati - I might change this pick later, toss up.
Arizona at Chicago - Same with this one, Arizona looked good until last week.
Detroit at Seattle - If they dont win this loving game... I... I... will be very upset and possibly write an angry post in the open letters thread. My impotent rage grows.
Carolina at New Orleans - New Orleans owns.
San Diego at NY Giants - Giants looked awful last week, and I like the Chargers so there you have it.
Tennessee at San Francisco - SF looks like they're really close to be a very good team. I dont think they'll have trouble beating up on the titans at home.
Dallas at Philadelphia - Home team.
Pittsburgh at Denver - I hate the Steelers and every time I pick them they lose. gently caress that poo poo.

This is what I'm going with for now. Will probably review later and switch a few.

Washington at Atlanta - Quietly, the Redskins are in the top 5 defenses in the league, but unfortunaltely fail to contain Roddy White.
Kansas City at Jacksonville - Waffling on this one badly. KC is coming off a bye and these teams match up in ways that make a KC win possible.
Green Bay at Tampa Bay - Unless they cant shake the hangover from last week, GB should win this easily.
Miami at New England - UPSET SPECIAL OF THE WEEK
Houston at Indianapolis - Hoping Manning turns his poo poo around or this could go badly.
Baltimore at Cincinnati - Another waffle. Picking Cincy as they are coming off the bye, had more time to prepare, blah blah
Arizona at Chicago - Waffle
Detroit at Seattle - No chance in hell the Hawks lose this one. NO CHANCE.
Carolina at New Orleans - While Carolina does have the best pass defense in the league, it will matter not to the Saints, who have been getting it done on the ground.
San Diego at NY Giants - NY has injury issues with the secondary and that bodes well for SD
Tennessee at San Francisco - Young has to give me more than one game to make me a believer.
Dallas at Philadelphia - Dam, Philly looks impressive.
Pittsburgh at Denver - Either Denver gets back on track against the Steelers and proves they are legit or they get exposed as the frauds we all thought they were.

A little cross-country, gentlemen?

A lot of games that could go either way this week. A lot of games I'll be waffling on up until game time. A lot of games I'll get wrong because it'll turn out my first instinct was correct but I changed my pick.

Washington at Atlanta - Washington has the toughest schedule for the rest of the season (based on upcoming opponents' win/loss percentage up to and including week 7). Let the pain commence. Or continue to commence, in this case

Kansas City at Jacksonville - Kansas City could do this but probably won't. Jacksonville needs to just feed it to MJD all day

Green Bay at Tampa Bay - Not this week, Tampa. Possibly not this season, either

Miami at New England - I want to pick Miami but I think New England can get it done at home unless Ginn Jr. goes all . If this game were in Miami I'd probably pick Miami (and then follow up the pick with a week of second-guessing myself)

Houston at Indianapolis - Homerism aside, The Streak will not allow me to pick against Indy yet. Houston will play a tough game but the Colts are too hot right now (even if SF was pretty close). Regardless, I've been looking at this as the most likely first loss of the season (with the game versus the Patriots as the second most likely... always the Patriots....)

Baltimore at Cincinnati - Another good opportunity to change my mind, though if Cincy can beat them in Baltimore they can beat them in Cincy. In theory

Arizona at Chicago - Arizona loss due to Arizona not being as good as some people give them credit for or Arizona loss because Carolina is waking up a bit? Or both? Regardless, I think they can beat Chicago on the road. Their own stadium is like kryptonite, so they have to get their wins somewhere

Detroit at Seattle - To the Rams? At home? Really?

Carolina at New Orleans - Even if Carolina's waking up they're still no match for the juggernaut New Orleans seems to be becoming

San Diego at NY Giants - First instinct was to go with the home team in what seems like a toss-up, but I think San Diego can do it. If the Saints, Cardinals and Eagles can manhandle the Giants, the Chargers can at least make it a very close game (and still probably win). Still, you'd think NYG could turn it around at SOME point, right? Or is it that the Giants are who we thought they might be but weren't sure because at the time it seemed like they were who we thought they were although we always had nagging doubts. Or something

Tennessee at San Francisco - Even if it turns out Tennessee is on an upswing, this isn't a good week for them. San Francisco > Jacksonville

Dallas at Philadelphia - On the one hand, Philly shows signs of dissociative identity disorder (the Oakland game, ugh). On the other hand, they've been steamrolling lately. And Dallas hasn't exactly been convincing

Pittsburgh at Denver - More waffling. Denver is 6-1, and even though there's the "Are they real or not?" controversy, you've still gotta say, "Hey, 6-1 is pretty good, guys." And they've got that home field thing going, too. On the other hand, Pittsburgh seems to have recovered from their rocky start, but they don't have much claim to fame either... they've beaten the Browns and the Lions. They beat the Titans in a close game before everyone realized the Titans sucked. They did, however, beat the Vikings, and they've had the bye week to rest up and prepare for this. I think they've hit their stride. Big chance I'll change my mind several times but for now I think the Steelers pull this off. I do hope Ryan Clark doesn't die.

Washington at Atlanta
Kansas City at Jacksonville - MJD is going to rack up ridiculous numbers in this one.
Green Bay at Tampa Bay - Tamba is the absolute bottom of the league right now.
Miami at New England - Tough one to pick. I love the Dolphins run game, but I had to go with the Pats at home.
Houston at Indianapolis - Houston has put together a nice little winning streak, but the Colts are coming off a bad week and will light up the Texans.
Baltimore at Cincinnati - The Ravens really stepped it up last week against the Broncos, and I think they continue playing that way this week.
Arizona at Chicago - Homer pick.
Detroit at Seattle
Carolina at New Orleans - I have a feeling this is going to be a surprisingly close game, but the Saints are nearly unstoppable right now.
San Diego at NY Giants - Another tough game to call. The Giants are sliding bad, and I think they partway right the ship this week.
Tennessee at San Francisco - Chris Johnson is rushing for 228 yards this week, and the 49ers are going to force Vince to beat them. Which isn't going to happen.
Dallas at Philadelphia - Both these teams are hard to read. Home team advantage takes it.
Pittsburgh at Denver - Gut pick.

Baltimore at Cincinnati - Should be one hell of a game, but I think Palmer and Benson get it done
Arizona at Chicago - The Cards just lost to the Panthers
Detroit at Seattle - The Lions are still laughably bad
Carolina at New Orleans - This pick scares me, but the homer in me can't pick against the Saints
San Diego at NY Giants - Giants are in a tailspin
Tennessee at San Francisco - I really like what Singletary has cooking out in San Francisco
Dallas at Philadelphia - Philly is on a serious roll right now
Pittsburgh at Denver - Neckbeard 4 Lyfe

Good evening ignorant pigs!
Put down your crack pipes
and your beer bongs!

Washington at Atlanta: Dan Snyder continues his cartoonishly evil rampage by banning all Redskins fans from games.
Kansas City at Jacksonville
Green Bay at Tampa Bay
Miami at New England: Miami will use , but hopefully Belichick's planning for it.
Houston at Indianapolis: For some reason, Indy looked shaky against the Niners last week, but I don't see them having much trouble against Houston.
Baltimore at Cincinnati
Arizona at Chicago: Due to my picking them, the Bears will probably poo poo the bed
Detroit at Seattle
Carolina at New Orleans: Carolina is awful, the Saints are unbeaten. Lock of the week.
San Diego at NY Giants: Giants got exposed last week...they're not doing well.
Tennessee at San Francisco
Dallas at Philadelphia: Despite that weird, flukey loss to Oakland, Philly's looking good for the NFC East crown.
Pittsburgh at Denver: Ride the neckbeard.

Last week: 8-5 (for like the fourth straight goddamn week)
Season: 78-38 (.672)

I sure do love holding onto the rock!

Washington at Atlanta - Washington and Cleveland are the two worst teams in the league
Kansas City at Jacksonville - the Chiefs are no prize
Green Bay at Tampa Bay - was really tempted to pick an upset here but couldn't bring myself to do so
Miami at New England
Houston at Indianapolis - maybe I can be wrong about the Texans two weeks in a row!
Baltimore at Cincinnati - I don't believe in the Bengals really
Arizona at Chicago - nor do I believe in the Cardinals, though I think they'll win their terrible division
Detroit at Seattle - speaking of the terrible NFC West yes I'm taking the Lions at Seattle
Carolina at New Orleans - no problem
San Diego at NY Giants - cripple fight, but Rivers2VJax will win
Tennessee at San Francisco - VY just wins games baby!
Dallas at Philadelphia - I just don't know what the Eagles will do on a given week
Pittsburgh at Denver - McDaniels goes 1-0 on MNF

Washington at Atlanta - Turner looked like a beast in the loss last week finally.
Kansas City at Jacksonville - Home team I guess
Green Bay at Tampa Bay - Staying alive for 0-16
Miami at New England - Pats are well rested.
Houston at Indianapolis - I can't watch this game. The shadows at Indy's stadium during the day are too distracting.
Baltimore at Cincinnati - May switch
Arizona at Chicago - I'll be copying some peoples strategy and pick against their own team so that I'll be happy for either outcome.
Detroit at Seattle - I think Seattle is better than the Rams, marginally.
Carolina at New Orleans - I watched Carolina in person beat the living crap out of the Cards last week. They got their payback from last year, letdown game.
San Diego at NY Giants - Long way to travel, even though the Giants are sucking hard right now.
Tennessee at San Francisco - 49ers need to win this game
Dallas at Philadelphia - I'm tempted to pick Dallas for some reason, we'll see.
Pittsburgh at Denver - Welcome back to earth Denver. At least you got Washington next week!

Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to win the AFC West, Kyle.

Washington at Atlanta - Washington is just going through the motions right now.

Kansas City at Jacksonville - I think the Chiefs will squeak a win out here.

Green Bay at Tampa Bay - Tampa is chasing Lion History

Miami at New England - Fins gonna get humbled

Houston at Indianapolis - Indy is too good.

Baltimore at Cincinnati - Home team

Arizona at Chicago - Home team part 2

Detroit at Seattle - The Lions lost to the Rams. Really, Detroit?

Carolina at New Orleans - Brees is a pretty decent quarterback. Jake Delhomme is not.

San Diego at NY Giants - Anyone picking the Chargers here is on drugs

Tennessee at San Francisco - Gore is do what MJD did last week.

Dallas at Philadelphia - NFC East shenanigans. I fully expect Dallas to lose three straight after this.

Pittsburgh at Denver - gently caress Denver forever
