Tim lincecum busted in WA with 3 grams of weed on him. Just a misdemeanor, but drat im glad it happened early in the offseason. I love weed and so this just makes me love the guy more, but hes gonna take some flack over this from the whole "oh he is a role model" crowd, and im sure this is gonna gently caress up his chance at the Cy Young.

loving legalize it.

Try, try again.

Anyone who is telling their children that a freaky lookin' dude like Timmy should be their role model's screwed up anyway.

Seriously, this isn't a big deal and won't screw his chances at all. This isn't 1980, Tim's not Fergie Jenkins, and it was weed, not coke.

Get out the salami and cheese

I always think more highly of a player for smoking weed, it makes them relatable and not some robot who just believes in working out and winning all day. Drugs in general make a player more interesting. Like the Birdman, who is much more exiting when you can debate over whether he took LSD, Acid or Coke. (Really hoping it was LSD)

Oh, and Lincecum should be a role model because he has great mechanics.

After Bill Lee got traded to the Expos a reporter asked him if there was a marijuana problem on the Red Sox. He said, "Hell no. How could they? I've used the stuff since 1968, and I've never had a problem with it."

Tim has a face for pot. Like, it was designed to inhale pot.

I think this will help the people whose kids look up to Timmy - "You can try to pitch like him and when you're in pain you can do the same thing the pros do for pain!"

Cheerio, chaps.

You could tell just by looking at him that he's a major stoner, just like Michael Phelps.

e: I mean they probably don't smoke when they're actually working, but you know those people who have smoked weed since they were like twelve? Phelps and Lincecum look just like those people.

I think the feeling with those guys is they don't want me to get hit any more. At least that's what they told me.

It's weird that MLB doesn't really give a poo poo about pot, but guys can get kicked out of the minors for it. The Brewers had one of their top pitching prospects suspended for 100 games for his second violations. Next time he gets caught he's out. Seems like a pretty harsh punishment for a little weed.

Yeah, considering how extremely available it is to MLB level talent, you'd think they'd be a little more lax.

And for one moment in time, all was right with the franchise...

I just feel bad for him because he's going to have to come out and give one of those crappy "Oh I feel so bad I let everyone down and please kids don't smoke pot" speeches when in reality all he will be thinking about during that conference is "God dammit that was my favorite pipe "

Intellectually I realize legalizing marijuana and a lot of other recreational drugs makes sense, however I find vocal pot smokers so contemptible I can't bring myself to voice that opinion.
