The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is an assessment based on the theory of psychological type as originally developed by C. G. Jung. It is the most widely used personality test in the world, and with good reason. The cool thing about it is that when you read your own personality description, it feels like someone has known you for years, and when you read other personality type descriptions you say to yourself, "Wow, I know people just like that". There are 4 "dimensions", I guess, in your personality, according to MBTI. Extraversion- You get energy from being around people Introversion- You get energy from being alone Sensing- You are concerned with facts iNtuition- You make connections Thinking- Logical thinking Feeling- Emotion over logic Judging- You like things to be planned out Perceiving- You "go with the flow" For the record, I'm an INTP/INTJ, but there are 15 other personality types (4x4=16) Anyway, this is a pretty basic description of MBTI. You should take the test ( http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp ) to get an accurate description of your type. If you're interested further, you can read into "functions" and the more advanced stuff too. It's pretty fun and you can get to know more about yourself in the process. INFJ or P. I never have completely decided on my function order, which I guess suggests INFP. Most goons are INTJ or INTP. We have a much higher percentage of intuitives here overall though (compared to the general population) Numbers fucked around with this message at Nov 07, 2009 around 17:35 |

This happens in part because many INTJs do not readily grasp the social rituals ...

Wow, I have taken this test at least a dozen times (I was a pysch major) and I've always gotten ENFP. I haven't taken it since I started grad school, though (second year PhD student now) and I took it again, just for shits and giggles. Apparently grad school has turned my P into a J, making me ENFJ...I read the descriptions of both and ENFP totally described me when I was younger, but ENFJ is accurate now. According to every online test I've ever taken, I'm brilliant and smart and unique and special. The universe basically exists just for me to analyze and eventually control. So you know.

Is there an MBTI type for people who believe that someone's MBTI type is about as useful as knowing their astrological sign? If so, I'm that MBTI type.

I guess I didn't save it for myself, but yeah, there's definitely a chart floating around of the normal distribution of MBTI personalities and the goon distribution of personalities which are complete opposites of each other. Someone still has it for sure.

Though I don't know that I've taken this specific test before, its rating systems lead me to believe that I'd normally score in the "I" range. However, I started a new career earlier this year that has drastically changed my outlook on many things. ENTJ
