There was no easy reminder for them that the game was still going. I only know to post in my games because they show up on my user control panel. It wasn't terrible to switch over to that site and play but I'd constantly forget the game was going, and I felt I was one of the more active players.

That was my problem too (I assume we're allowed to post that we were in that game now since I don't think the guessing competition is going ahead?) I'd forget the game was going and then get sidetracked and miss deadlines because I was doing something else etc etc. It was sad.

Honestly one of the fixes I thought of for your Anonymous game is just a longer deadline and longer day. I hate to even say it but maybe have 2 week + deadlines like mafiascum. That way whenever people remember they're playing the game, it's not like there are two days left and no cases, you can set up a deadline lynch a few days in advance.

Did I accidentally run over your dog and not hear about it? You've never played in a game that I've run, ever, and Blind Date, MtG I, and Wifoa 1.5 were all extremely successful and most everyone that was in them wanted to be in other games I ran. Even some people in MtG II after it exploded still sent me messages asking to be in a MtG III if I ever worked out the kinks.

investigated a player each night, found out if one letter by request was in that player's SA sn and 1 letter at random that wasn't in that player's SA sn.

protected SA sn's
7 ) Ridonkulous - VT - HELP
8 ) Sword in the Brain! - Town Investigator - Goatee Enthusiast
investigated whether a SA sn was in the game or not
9 ) fitsfadda - VT - youth in asia
10) Dead Cow - mafia predictor - Someone Else
could guess someone's SA sn correctly to kill them, once per night
11) The Ninth Layer - VT - A First Grader

was responsible for the notes that were left, which were 100% true

As far as why it didn't work, a combination of too-short deadlines and

on my part preventing me from sending a PM to everyone every game day. I think if it had worked like a real mafia game it would've given us some insight into meta but drawing conclusions from what actually went down would be silly.

I should've made it more clear to just send in whatever guesses you wanted to make, but vOv. I like the idea of having some sort of viewer participation contest/prediction contest during/at the end of a Mafia game though, I've been brainstorming a few ideas about how to make it work.

Unfortunately there's no way to run an anonymous game on SA without spending $130 and it wouldn't work because nobody would sign into their alts so it'd have the exact same problems.

It wasn't difficult for me to keep up with the game, I don't know how it was so hard for others.

By Proxy mafia?

Everyone has a proxy who posts for the real player. Kinda like the hidden team in your mtg2 game, but it's the whole player base that's proxied.

I'm a big fan of the puppet mafia that i think Twobags ran, where merk gave wrote both me and PJF posts that we posted for him. He ran an entire scum team solo.

It was Jame Randi Mafia, actually, run by Ricola. And he wrote the posts for you, PJF, and Sohpia, I think.

Awesome concept, shame died to apathy.

Oh by the way when I posted I was around 20 mins before the deadline on the last day then didn't show up to hammer leading to the third no lynch, that honestly was a mistake on my part. I got caught up with some work, then the next thing I noticed was the clock saying 4:08 and naturally, the thread was long since closed. I was going to apologise the next day but the game ended and all.
