TPR is still the best for me. Did anyone else happen to catch the other track he posted with Turbo Breakin Broom Dance? He deleted it quickly but it was so much better. Here's one of my favorite tracks on his new mix.

ИΔΤVИ - Bae City Rollaz (feat. YUNG BAE)

Some lazy Sunday jams:

VECT - Papa Was

Strehlow - not about u (feat. Fooki Wonton)

Lindsay Lowend - Memory Foam

Janet Jackson - Someone To Call My Lover (Seiho Bootleg Mix)

Flamingosis - Cheer Up

I remember hearing this a long time ago but I never found out the name or artist for it:

The strange thing is that according to 1001tracklists, I haven't listened to any of the sets it's been used in, so I have no idea where I would have heard.

Life would be simple in the forest except for Cyril Sneer. And his life would be simple except for The Raccoons.
Hi everyone :)

Haven't been in this thread for almost a year now, but I've finally finished my masters and can once again pay attention to music. Sadly, this has been a pretty bland year for the indie-dance/indie-electro scene (I find myself still riding on the coat trails of last year's big releases - Empire of the Sun, The Presets, Cut Copy) so I don't have anything to post :(

edit: Ok I'll make this a bit more positive. Here's a few good tunes from the last few months:

Fenech-Soler - Last Forever https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SiVzJirrDgQ

Alex Metric (feat. Stefan Storm) - Heart Weighs A Ton https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=quTz2FGWzrE

Sheppard - Geronimo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UL_EXAyGCkw (you've probably all heard this)

Owen Pallett - Song for Five & Six https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vr_SbrFIuKA <<-- real artsy stuff going on here

MODERNS - Kowalski https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEnMr7tVaqE <<-- Listen to this if you want some real authentic 80s sounds all up in ya, yet with a decidedly modern edge

OH AND THIS:

Empire Of The Sun - Tonight (HQ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11lHalUROE4. Yup, EOTS provided a song for Dumb and Dumber 2. It's a shame such a good song is wasted on such a terrible movie.

Mark Farina's for Untitled DJ's of America comes to mind.

Yeah, it's a great album. Easily in my top 10 albums of the year, and like you said my favorite electronic album.

That set is something else though. It's full of surprises and has some really long track blends which you don't see so much of today.

Those boots/mixes are interspliced with other peoples music. They're not a fair comparison.

I would throw in Chemical brothers catalog defining "don't think" live album, recorded in fuji.

Rang in the New Year by seeing The Glitch Mob live for the second time, this time in a small, intimate venue packed to the brim with fans. They didn't have The Blade with them this time (the venue was too small to accommodate it), but they still put on a killer show. They did a countdown, then when it got to 0, their LED screen for their visuals lit up with "HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM THE GLITCH MOB" with their logo behind it and it was all glitched out. Then they toasted each other with champagne on stage and proceeded to play for an hour and a half straight. It ruled. Any New Year in the future will pale in comparison.

That's awesome. I was fortunate enough to see The Glitch Mob in Asheville last March for my birthday. They put on a hell of a show. When I was still in college I got to see eDIT by himself during his Certified Air Raid Material Tour in the basement of this club in Charlotte. It was packed as hell in that little basement, but I was right up front. I've gotten pretty lucky with electronic shows. I'm always super self-conscious at "normal" concerts about dancing and stuff, but at raves all fucks I would give are no where to be found and I make a fool out of myself.

Pretty embarrassing. Love the interviews leading up to the album where they talk about how hard and mean their music is. I was honestly expecting bullshit dubstep but instead we got some mid 2000 sounding break beats and some really out of touch dudes.

One of the album tracks is with a dude called Flux Pavilion. A person that makes bullshit dubstep. I have no faith this album is going to be anything other than dated sounding.

I actually don't mind Flux when I'm in the mood for dubstep but knowing that collab exists totally kills my enthusiasm for the Prodigy album. You can't talk about your upcoming album changing the face of dance music and have someone like that on it at the same time.
