There does seem to be a glut of synth-xxxx music out there right now. Not that I'm complaining since the more we have the more likely we will get some good new music coming out. With that said, I am enjoying Priest's eponymous new album, especially these tracks. https://soundcloud.com/eeemotion/priest-the-game https://soundcloud.com/eeemotion/priest-broken https://soundcloud.com/eeemotion/priest-day-drinking

As I've got older and don't get to gigs as much as I used to it seems to take me a while to catch up with all the dope rear end tunes that have been released in the last year or so. Had a bit of a binge the other night and came across a few amazing tracks I hadn't heard. Any recommendations to recent similar stuff would be much appreciated! That Leon Vynehall track using the Dilla sample was killer but I think this track here is just something else. Absolutely love it. Leon Vynehall - Butterflies https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxVbAZzem2s Also what are some similar artists to Floating Points? I think I've liked close to everything they've released.

It's not exact though so there's probably some random tracks thrown in (same with every category, after I post all the songs I'm going to go refine their tagging) http://www.lst-records.com/music/organichouse/ Midland is darker but does some stuttery stuff, Leon Vynehall for sure, Four Tet depending, Pepe Braddock takes the jumpiness to the extreme. LORD OF BUTT posted:I'm kinda thinking of making a thread for synthwave, since it seems to be kind of a separate scene from regular EDM. Not sure if it could support its own thread though. If say go for it, I've recently started to get into this stuff via Gost and Perturbator, and I'm constantly looking for new bands along these lines. I've really been digging LazerPunk and Tupper Ware Remix Party, but there is so much out there to listen to.

Listening to some of the sets from EDC and I don't understand how Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike keep getting gigs. It's like they're not even trying - there are no transitions between tracks, just one after another.

Hey thread. I got myself a Burning Man related gig, and I'm looking for recommendations on songs that fit the theme of "fire". Any house sub-genre is welcome, but I lean more towards deep/tech. For example: Maya Jane Cole's remix of Bo Saris - "She's on fire" https://soundcloud.com/mayajanecoles/bo-saris-shes-on-fire-maya

LUCA LUSH is all over the place for me but when he's on he's on. LUCA LUSH - I Can Tell Lido - Money (LUCA LUSH Edition) ROSE⌘GOLD showed up out of nowhere with nothing but fire production making me think they are somebody just under a new name but IDK. ROSE⌘GOLD - Without U ROSE⌘GOLD - ♥Ride Or Die Girl♥ Good vibe on this Cavalier slow burner Joker - Midnight (Cavalier Version) And a couple old Phantom tracks the first of which I sometimes think is his best track to date. If anyone remembers that really insane promotional video about 'Ibizious Energy', you might remember the backing music that went behind it. Basically it looks like enough people asked for the song, so they just put it together into a single and released it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsdTOvUEaig I have to say, I really like it. The thing that bugs me though is that I've also been struggling to find anything like it - to me it feels like a combination of synthwave, space-disco, new beat and even a bit of italo thrown in for good measure. Anyone reckon they might know anything similar at all?
