The best thing I read in The Death of WCW was when they described a match between Sting and Scott Steiner that simply ended when Sting was attacked by three dogs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKh4...feature=related Skip to around 5:00 to see it. To say it's ridiculous and hilarious would be an understatement.

Zoltarb posted:What about when the fantabulous Jay Leno was feuding with Eric and naturally Eric needed his own late night talk show? Even a short sketch would have been pretty bad but that poo poo went on as long as the actual drat Tonight Show. Jesus, they showed a clip where Leno showed a clip of a previous segment. The recursiveness of that segment is mind blowing. Also love the crowd getting angrier as the segment goes on as the horrible attempts to cover it with canned laughter sort of cover it up.

Rodney the Piper posted:No, but that was part of Russo's plan right before he was fired. Wasn't Russo's reasoning for this that nobody would see it coming? Because nobody cared about Abbott and he was a complete failure at connecting with the fans so naturally he's the choice for your world champ. Now that I think about it, wasn't all of Russo's reasoning that no one would expect it? Caught in that endless loop of trying to work the smarks who, by definition, are really hard to work while confusing those who don't know or care about backstage stuff.
