This is driving me insane. I'm trying out the newest svn's but no matter what I do, it won't save my settings. Every time I close it and open it again, it'll randomly think I'm starting it for the first time. Any suggestions?

Win 7. Tried changing the compatibilty to Admin as well, same random results.

edit: nevermind, deleting everything and changing the default settings from user\etc. to the local folder did the trick.

Any idea how I might fix this? I'm running pcsx2-legacy-1932, using SPU2-X with XAudio 2.

I've been playing FFXII and never had an issue with sound in cutscenes. You should try using the svn Gyoru posted in the OP, it's more up to date.

Speaking of sound, I wish they'd work on it a lot more. Most of the time it sounds like crap. Peops' plugin sounds well enough, but the compatibility is way too low compared to SPU2-X.

I can't seem to get SMT: Nocturne to run in the latest svn's. I can get past the screen where you input your name, but after that scene it just hangs on a black screen. It works fine in the 1888 beta. Is there something I should enable/disable, or is it just a bug in the new svn's?

I also can't get Yakuza working after the first screen where it loads from the memory card. Another black screen.

Did you try the usual initial troubleshooting steps of disabling all speedhacks and setting gsdx to software mode? If so, time to file a bug report.

I did. I probably should, but I've never never posted a bug report before.

I'm getting some random crashes with these newer builds. After playing for about 15-20 minutes, the sound cuts off and it just crashes. There is no error message that I can look up. Any suggestions?

It's an issue that's come up multiple times in this thread. Like the guy says, there SHOULDN'T be a problem, but there is, sometimes. Easy solution, but completely unobvious since it's just a random lockup after 20-60 minutes of flawless play.

Huh, I was pretty sure that I'd tried both XA2 and Dsound, but I'll give it another shot. Thanks!

I've ran into another minor issue. I've just been playing a few games to see how they run, one of them being Final Fantasy 12, which looked good in the OP. I've noticed the audio has a couple issues. First, each note in a piece of music ends a bit earlier than it should. I've heard some of the tracks before, and I know that some of the notes go on longer. It's like someone is letting go of a organ key just a fraction of a second earlier than normal.

The other issue I've noticed is dialog gets cut off, especially during small ones. Like if someone says "Very well." it sounds like "Ve-well." I've tried adjusting the plugin options for SPU2 and nothing seems to change that. Other than that, it sounds and runs great. Any idea what might fix that? The first thing I did was disable speedhacks, which doesn't affect it.

I'm using SPU2-X-r4872, interpolation: 4 (catmull rom), direct sound, latency 100ms, timestretch, stereo, disable effects processing/use de-alias filter both unchecked. I don't have any issues with these settings while playing FF12.

Quick question, are the Ace Combat games still unplayable with the most up to date builds? That includes the messed up textures too.

Last I heard one part had been fixed, I think the ground texture draw, but the rest - like magical no-hitbox bombers - was still screwed up. That's a month or two old, though.

Oh... well, guess I'll wait a while longer then before ripping the isos. Thanks!

Okay, got two questions:

1) I'm using MotioninJoy with my DS3 and a bluetooth dongle, however, whenever I play for more than say, 40 minutes, I start to notice some increasing lag on my inputs until it's completely ridiculous. Only way to fix it is to turn off the controller and turning it back on. Could it be my cheap-rear end dongle, or just MotioninJoy?

2) Is the fate circle from Shadow Hearts 2 fixed in any version (not in software mode)?

Anyone know the differences (pros and cons) to the HD re-releases VS playing the originals on an emulator? I have the Devil May Cry collection for example but I'm wondering if it's better to play an emulated copy? Are the HD collections 60fps?

The HD collections will always be better... except for Silent Hill I bet.
