So, I was opening some modern boxes to check something when apparently I got a book worth around 800k. Pretty awesome, except I don't have enough money to post it on the market for that much.  I remember when I was playing before, there was an NPC that you could sell items to and she (atleast I think it was a she...) would buy them for a decent amount. The only catch was that it took part of your will for each item sold. The trick was buying equipment boxes on the cheap, then selling the item you received to her for a profit. From what I remember, it wasn't the best way to make money. It was good enough to get a nice foothold the last time I played though. Does anyone know which NPC this is, or if this strategy still works?

As for the second, he's called Columbus, and he's west of madrid iirc. I haven't ever done it, some I'm not sure to be honest.

I may end up selling alot in a personal store. I put an item up in the market this morning. Logged back in just now and the system cut the price by almost 75%. What the gently caress is this poo poo, and why does it seem to be arbitrarily happening only to certain items? Kind of pisses me off that I pay the fee to put it up for a certain amount, and then the system decides to sell it for cheaper.

There's an automatic decrease in market item prices once each day, but it's never 75% in one jump. For most items I think it's somewhere closer to 5-15% each day.

Had something go from 85k to 23k. Not that much, I know. Just freaked me out a bit as I had some other stuff up there for quite alot. If it's normally a 5-15% decrease a day, I can deal with that. How long does it usually take to get into the guild? I applied, just have to wait to see if there's room? Wasn't sure if I need to try messaging someone. VVVVV: Thanks. I applied in-game. They might be afk though, so if you don't get a response they're not just ignoring you. Also if you apply to the guild using the ingame system, people will check that from time to time too.

I think the daily auto-depreciation is determined in part by the difference between your posted price and the game's calculation of "market price" based on transactions for that item over a period of time. It's related to the number that shows up as the item's "value" when you pull it up on the market.

Is the endgame in this still balls? I had gotten to 128 until I quit, but even so the last few months I spent playing it were just because I was stuck into the community so to speak, I wasn't actually enjoying the game itself anymore. Also, another thing about this game....SO MUCH GOD drat DRAMA. I wasn't a part of anything goon-related at all though I did see you guys running around Sikyon somewhat. Edit: One thing I will give this game though, it gives me my best MMO war story ever: One day a leader of a guild PMed me bitching at me about how my guild members were all greifing his town, was like, uh wtf how, so he tells me that appearantly there is this quest that you get an item that spawns a monster in one of the towns(well, I knew about the quest but never thought of doing this), and the town happened to be his. Appearantly two of the higher ups in my guild (both would later go on to lead it after I quit actually) got the quest item to spawn the monster fox, dropped the quest, and regot it, like 5 billion times, went to his town, and spawned an army of monster foxes. He was not amused, but I was. Anyway, fast forward about a week later, our nation was warred by 2 other nations, obviously the way AOs war system worked (and still probably does because the devs program stuff at the speed of molasses with glue in it) there was no way we could win, but we had a plan: Make that city our capitol, and as they attacked our city, have a bunch of people spawn a whole shitload of foxes to get in there way. It was funny, held them off for a bit, but eventually we lost anyway. Besides that, not much to do really I don't think, there's some new high level dungeons, a merc dungeon that's far too low level for you, and a A class merc that costs several billion to recruit and upgrade. I'm guessing there will be nothing too large until we get TBS

I haven't played Atlantica in a while, but what is the dominant PvP group composition atm? Is it still DMF or has something evolved to beat it? Also, how bad is the inflation, for example how much does a Divine Box go for these days?

If you don't have it, you generally get run into the ground by sheer damage output. Divine Box fluctuates between 7-8m now, so it's not too bad

I read a post about getting the free gcoins without paying (strictly by doing the surveys). Can we get a list of the ones that we can do that have no subscriptions requirements? They all seem to require a valid mobile number in order to "sub" you in to a monthly fee.
