Longer sight radius, yes. With a 19-cut grip, I can conceal a 17 without issue in an IWB holster. Also, the 19 feels relatively fine in my hands, while the hump on the lower end of the 17/34's grip makes it feel too big. By doing the chop job, all of my Glock frames not only feel essentially the same in my hands, but they all have the same internals (lighter connector, Vickers mag release, etc) and all use the same magazine, simplifying logistics.

Yeah, I like the feel of the 19 over the 17 for that reason too. The 17 is just too much where the 19 feels like a perfect balance. Also, I can run G17 mags in my G19 if I feel like.

Being as I came up shooting some pretty slippery wood grip S&W autos, the Gen3 grip feels "just right" in the grippy department to me. I dont think I'd ever need to add something to make it easier to hold.

Some of you guys are crazy. I love my Gen 3 RTF2 G19 to death. It doesn't tear up me or my shirts. Maybe you jerks should be less fat?

Hey! The fat is what makes the G19 concealable on me. Without it, i'd have to carry something smaller.

You could always put a second Glock 19 into a tacticool carbine kit like the AABB; the only time a 33rnd magazine doesn't look THAT goofy .

I've recently considered going through the motions of getting a G17, SBR'ing it and building up like a mini "glock PDR" using a clip on stock, 33 round mag and a rail mounted foregrip.

~ $800 for a cool fun to shoot gun that I can break down into a pistol? Sounds like an awesome deal.

If you can, find one that's already SBRed and try shooting it before you spend your money to SBR your gun. I shot a stocked Glock once and was underwhelmed. If you want a 9mm SBR, get a gun that's designed as a carbine, like the B&T TP9.

Also, the Glock rail is designed for lights and lasers and not foregrips. The dust cover can break off if used with a foregrip.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11fcg543Jow

^haha great video but I think the guy shot himself because he was using a converted G17 and not because he had a foregrip.

Good point about the dust cover though. What about the stocked version underwhelmed you? Was it just the overall feel?

Fobus GL2 for $7 Shipped

And for those of you who like NFA items a glock shoulder stock adapter for $20 instead of $150
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/tactic...-edition-113648

I'm not saying either of these are genuine or are good quality, I snagged the holster due to the low price but will probably still end up buying one on amazon unless a goon used set pops up in the classifieds as DX will probably take months to ship it.

I do know I ordered a 1911 fobus holster/mag set for $9 from DX a few years back and it was a genuine fobus holster so these may be legit but no way to tell until you open the box.

Also these probably will sell out and disappear so if you're on the fence order when you see this type of stuff pop up.

I'm planning on ordering one. I have a genuine fobus for my BHP and it works well enough for a super cheap holster.

The 19 fits my hand better than the 17. I have smallish hands and I've found that the G17 hangs out of my grip in a way that's even slightly less comfortable. If I had a G17 I would probably give it The_Rat's grip bris treatment to get it down to 19 size.
