If you're going to be doing vinyls anyway, I seem to remember a few years ago there was a thread by some guy who had a drift car that was wrapped in sparkly vinyl to achieve a bass-boat effect.

Hmm...dazzle with one of the lesser colors being glittery / sparkly perhaps

at the risk of sounding odd, did your supra have the "tems package" and do you still have the steering wheel?

FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU..... PSA: When taking a test drive, don't forget to reinstall the hood pins... I now need some new hinges.

Could be worse: you could forget to do it prior to heading out on track with a bunch of other race cars, then at 80mph have your hood fly up, smash your windshield and dent your roof. There is no rageface to adequately describe it. Condolences amigo. Consider this an opportunity to have it hinged to open laterally.

I also finished up the ball joints and took the drivers side fender down to metal and primed and smoothed the door and primed it as well. Earlier I applied a big piece of vinyl to the door to see how it would do with non wrapping calendered film I have a ton of and it worked fine so wrapping is a go. I also have a full roll of red too I might do a big rising sun for the hood or tailgate. Holdbrooks fucked around with this message at Mar 14, 2011 around 04:25 |

Ok so I have been talking to my friend at the body shop about painting the truck. I am going to base coat it in a a non metallic color. I guess I could do white and do the dazzle, bot is there a better base color to do ant then do a bunch of vinyl graphics on top?

Yeah I'm still playing with some of those. I really can't make up my mind. I would do purple and orange but since as I am moving to AZ in a couple of months everybody would just think I really loved the suns. I think this scheme actually really does work - it looks sharp as all. Maybe red rims and white brake calipers.
