I just finished a game as Terrans against a Protoss player. We were both silver 1v1, but he was also gold in 2v2. I started to crank out marines, expecting the usual void ray attack that comes with every Protoss player I've met in the last 2 weeks. I make the mistake of sending out a nice blob of marines just a second prior to his arrival with the void rays, which overwhelm the few marines I had back to defend. He manages to take out my CC just as kill off the rays. I did not have enough resources to rebuild it and was pissed, so I attack him with my marines and SCVs all at once while floating over my 3 barracks to his base. The marines wipe him out in a matter of seconds while a few new void rays destroy the remains of my base. Even though all I have 350 minerals and a few barracks left, I win. Ten minutes later, he starts an endless stream of poo poo talking. Lots of "You are nothing," "you know I beat you and got robbed I won that game you lost," "you couldn't do anything to me I destroyed you," "No destroyed you is an understatement" I lose half my games and have never been inclined to say anything negative. People are funny.

For example, on the first day of the new random group finder in WoW, the first time I joined a random group said "Hello everyone" the only response I got was "go gently caress yourself" At least in WoW they had the decency to make it so you can't talk to your opponent's in Arena's, even against the same faction. If that hadn't been done I think it would be even worse.

Nothing is better than the hilarious rage you see when you beat someone. I love it.![]() my partner had an scv at the central watch tower and we saw an scv going up to an isolated mineral patch early on. even better, upon watching the replay I noticed that he tried to start making an expo next to my army and they killed it before he had a chance to cancel it haahahah. we starved him the entire game.

Ovaltine Jenkins posted:That's not what IMDB and wikipedia told me "o" and "eo" in modern Romanization represent two distinct sounds (each with its own letter) in Korean. We don't really have the "eo" sound in English, it sounds kind of like the "aw" in "aw, how cute" and it's the second vowel sound in annyeong. There's pretty much two sets of Romanization: the type that directly converts Korean writing to Roman letters using unique patters (yeo for the 여 in 안녕) and the type that tries to spell it in a way for dumbass foreigners to be able to read it with no knowledge of Korean phonetics. You registered the latter, congratulations! Koreans can read it anyway though and google even turns up almost a million results for 안뇽 (annyong) in Korean though. edit gently caress I fell for it again, googled list of arrested development characters edit2: nm the show writers just didnt know how to spell I guess, I thought that debate was an argument from the show or something Ara fucked around with this message at Aug 5, 2010 around 18:27 |

I played a guy named Samir. When the game starts, I get stuff like this: I'm Cowboy Woody! There's a snake in my boots! Someone poisoned the water hole!I play along with him and it was great fun, even though he crushed me in the end. He even messaged me later and now we're on each other's friends list. ![]() Another time I got a guy who just said "(%)=D~" at the start of a game after my customary "gl hf." His name was Jeff so I told him he should spell it Geoff. After he asks "Why?", I tell him "because that's how a enjoyable human being spells it." Then I crush him. Battle.net is great.

This thread is exactly why I do not engage people I play against. No "gl hf" and no "gg" from me! Complete silence, and I've yet to get any verbal abuse because of it. Probably mostly because I suck rear end at this game and I'm the one losing and swearing at my screen because TERRANS ALWAYS MANAGE TO SCAN ME FIRST TIME SUCCESSFULLY NO MATTER WHERE I HIDE MY EXPO GOD drat IT.

I had one guy get really mad at me when I used MMM on him(zerg). It took three pushes to finally kill his base, and he ends it by saying "Lame strat bro" Lame strat? You mean the one people have been using since beta and anyone worth their salt can at least hold off? Also had a guy that told me as the game started he was ranked 32 in platnium league. He proceeded to turtle himself as Terran, and it took an hour, but I prevailed. Right as I'm destroying his base, he pauses the game. "brb, phone call" I wait for about 5 minutes and then figure the guy is banking on me quitting or something. I finally say screw it since I was moments away from ending the game anyways, and unpause it so I can just finish the game. The guy proceeds to whine and yell that I cheated him out of a win. Yes, you were clearly on the verge of victory when you had no expansions and the majority of your main was destroyed. I mean if he had a full base or something to that extent, I'd understand and would have waited a little longer.

I had a pretty fun game just now in which, as it was winding down and he started just doing basehiding, we started shooting the poo poo in Internet African American Vernacular English (probably because I started the game with "good luck dogg" and he was like "u 2 homeslice"). I find this amusing because in all likelihood, neither of us are black.
