Dude, calm down. It's not a ghost, it's just music. You can't touch music.

But music can touch you.

I believe it's a repeat of the party episode from a few weeks ago, followed by the Regular Show Halloween special.

Hey, come on now, just because some fans can be ridiculous... I think one of the fun things about the show is the cute songs. And Marceline has a pretty voice. What's wrong with that?

Yeah, I don't really see the problem since nobody's making you watch the fan videos or whatever. It's not like they can upload the original and have it stay up there for very long.

The real ghost coming out of nowhere in the haunted house episode unsettled me. The scene that Finn vaults away. Just.... blergh.

I liked both of the Halloween episodes, though. Little things like Jake stretching the zombie infection, and Finn just breaking through a wall, remind me that this show does exactly what you yell at other shows for not doing.

Of course it was, she was a dog. Jake got his powers from a magic mud puddle, not any kind of weird magic monster/dog hybrid origin.

That's certainly what it sounded like. Unless it was "Balzacs!!!", perhaps?

At some point they should just move Adventure Time and Regular show to the Adult Swim block. They could go a little edgier and get away from those jarring tween-targeted commercials that bookend the episodes.

Brass Bucket

snap snap snap

It wouldn't be half as funny on Adult Swim. A lot of the humor stems from the creative ways they slip adult jokes into a kids' show.

a starwar betamax
Sep 17, 2011

Yeah let's turn a wildly popular young children's cartoon that occasionally has witty double entendras into a all adult cuss-filled "edgy" poop fest.

Part of the reason Adventure Time is so great is because it is enjoyable by so many audience groups. Edgy 20 somethings on Something is Awful.com aren't the only viewers of this show. Little kids love it, it's colorful, bright, action-packed. My 3 year old daughter absolutely adores the show, we watch it together every monday.

Thinking that is could somehow be made "better" by disregarding the majority audience segment and catering solely to stoners who think family guy is "way boss bro" is the very definition of not math.

The Triumphant
Sep 2, 2011

Yeah, I've seen Robocop. Bitches, leave.

Yeah, what I love about Adventure Time is the innocent joy of it. I get to relax and just have fun like a kid for 11 minutes-- it's the TV equivalent of eating a whole thing of candy beans, and I'd never want to trade it for something that didn't have that charm and whimsy to it.
