Marcelline is in "The Duke" at the meeting of Ooo royalty for a fraction of the second. When the camera zooms in on the squirrel popping out of his turtle king disguise, she's on the far right.

I think my favorite thing about the episode was other than that very first time with the lava you never got to see things from Jake's point of view.

From Pendleton Ward's formspring: "What was the event that brough on this terrible change that turned Earth to Ooo?" "the great mushroom war. it'll be... talked about a little bit. maybe. 2nd season" This excites me.

Anyone stick around for Regular Show and Mad? Regular show was pretty funny while Mad was exactly like and animated Mad magazine so it was a little funny but mostly not.

I've heard RS described as an animated Nedroid, which is fairly accurate. But MAD was just awful. Keyboard cat? At least four poop jokes? I can only imagine that it's going to be canceled really, really fast.

Yeah, I stuck around for both. Well, half of Mad. When will Mad just die already? MAD TV was a horrible thing, this is a horrible thing, every time they try to appeal to a mass market, it just results in suffering for viewers. Regular Show was pretty good though. It took me a minute to get sold on it, but I enjoyed it. Did they say "pissed" at one point during that show? Because it sounded like it to me.

I've been excited for Regular Show for a while. It's done by J.C. Quintel who worked on Flapjack and AT. The characters for RS are pretty much taken from his student films: The Naive Man from Lolliland and Two in the AM PM. There is also an as-of-yet-un-aired pilot on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOs1KdD3FQg Sometimes it gets too into the "wacky kid humor" bits, but overall it's funny. Makes a fine companion piece to Adventure Time. "I always wanted to go out with a girl named The Power." They also got away with some stuff I didn't think would fly on Cartoon Network. Like saying "pissed" and "How the H do we fix this S?" Internet Webguy fucked around with this message at Sep 7, 2010 around 04:01 |

Yeah, the Mad one was pretty bad. The Spy Vs Spy segment was cute, but the entertainment parodies were awful and basically ripped straight from the magazine. This is what Mad TV should've been all along, but they need to get better writers. Seeing as the target audience seems to be fans of the magazine, they should probably get more content than the same stuff they've already read animated.

The magazine at least has the decency to do drawings. They just took goddamn cut-out photos and made a lovely flash animation. Though I did like that the Spy vs. Spy segment used the guitar riff from Devo's "Secret Agent Man".

"holy poo poo thats cool." and then I wonder why other cartoons don't do that or any TV shows for that matter. The writers for this are cool for finally using the itnernet for good. for once.

While at my parents' house yesterday I learned something horrible. My sister has banned Adventure Time from her house so my niece and nephews can't watch it. The weird thing is that other than the 1 year old they aren't little kids. My niece is 13 and the other nephew is 9.

At 13 I'm pretty sure that your niece can go to the movies unsupervised and watch movies with far more questionable content than "Adventure Time". That is assuming that she banned it from her home due to content.
