I kinda have to disagree, at least on Adventure Time's part. There's far too many logical connections between what happens on Adventure Time for drugs to have been involved. Every crazy thing that happens in the world seems to follow whatever crazy universal rules that Pen came up with.

Regular Show on the other hand, there might be drugs on that one.

I watched the first 2 episodes on YouTube just for the hell of it. It's arguably true to the magazine in that it's a bunch of eyeroll-worthy pop-culture crap with a few amusing segments made by piggybacking off of the work of talented illustrators who died years ago.

The first episode had no less than three "I just crapped my pants" jokes, an Avatar parody called Avaturd starring Jake Smelly, a sketch that was literally just an astronaut stepping on dog poop and going "Houston, we have a poopie!", a mashup of CSI and iCarly, a painfully drawn-out reference to ponzi schemes, and a bunch of other dumb pop-culture bits. "The Bieber Bowl", "Where's Lady Gaga?", and the weird orange alien from Clone Wars being drawn as Garfield made me grin in spite of myself, and the Spy vs Spy bits with the guitar riff from Devo's cover of Secret Agent Man were good, but overall it's like an even shittier version of Robot Chicken with a bunch of terrible animation from art school graduates.

Also, Rigby getting pissed about Mordecai only wanting to go the concert for tits was awesome.

This new "Regular Show" is, in my opinion, the best one yet. Last week I was worried that the show was going to stick too close to its formula, but it broke out of it for this episode and it payed off very well. I'm really loving this cartoon.

The AT blog had a piece today comparing the original lich king design with the one from tonight's episode here.

Seems a case where the original looks less disturbing than the one they ended up using. Much like the censorship in "Wizard!" where they changed the beaver censor bars into tree logs so that all the naked dudes literally had wood.

Yeah, that's kind of what I was intimating. Also, there was apparently a Toto reference in there too, but I didn't catch it the first go around.

The only way that episode could have been better is if they had gotten George Takei as the Japanese businessman instead of Hamill, but to his credit Hamill was great.
