CAT ON THE COUCH!! posted:Can someone tell me about break-action pistols? Preferably something in a really dumb, enormous caliber with the ability to mount optics. Yes, I'm an idiot, just go with it. My dad has a Thompson Contender with a few barrels, I shot it with a .45 barrel on it. Seems kinda dumb but I guess its cool, I just don't see much of a purpose for one, for me personally.

My uncle had one with a .30-06 barrel he used for hunting.
