I love this thread. Everyone has such cute dogs! There should be way more posts. Here's my dog Murphy! He's an English setter. This is when we first got him back in March: Some pictures from the summer: These were both taken last month:

Phanatic posted:Shar-peis are awesome. Here's my buddy Mike's shar-pei/golden lab mix: Shar-Peis are indeed loving awesome. Here's a few of my little guy Cooper as a pup. Here is a pic of when the goddamn German Shepard and two cattle dogs around the corner attacked him. Stupid loving owners left their gate wide open with the dogs out of their house. Happened at about 5am in the morning. By the time I got him back around to our place and ran back to the place where it happened (about 5 minutes) the gate was closed and the dogs were locked up in the house. I woke up the surrounding houses giving the guy an earful, to which he just replied, it's just a dog get over it. I don't think he liked the $2000 vet bill he had to pay for surgery to Cooper, and the $500 per year he has to now pay to register his council registered dangerous dog as well as however much he had to pay to fence off the house to isolate the dogs. He's 2 1/2 years old now and about 27kg's most of which is in his face. He's so rad.

A capybara's a south american breed of dog, you doofus. They've got those big eyes and rough looking fur because they used to be kept by miners.

good dog: bad dog: This dog comes with a story. He was my large doofy Gordon Setter named Trooper. He came from a line of show dogs, but he wasn't show material, as he was rather large for a Gordon. His owners before he trampled into our life pampered him like their child, since their real children had fled the house as soon as possible. The fed him rib meat every single night, covered in bacon bits, and had a huge ranch where he could wander around and not worry about cars. We got him because his owners were leaving for hawaii and he was too used to his way of life. The first thing he did when he came into the house was trip up the front steps, ran into the kitchen table, then tripped out the steps into the backyard deck. He was pretty dumb. But he had a talent for hunting food. Since we couldn't supply him with rib meat every night he decided to supplement the dog food we gave him with anything. He would steal food off the table, he figured out how to paw open the trash, he would even use his paws to prop himself up on the counters so he could steal butter from its place next to the toaster. He kept this up for about three years, until he took it up a notch. He figured out that if he pawed at the side of the fridge, it would open the fridge, and would stuff himself sick on everything that he could eat. To combat this we put a child lock at the top of the door. But that only lead to him braking the Z frame in the refrigerator door. We ended up having to get one of those fridges that open in the middle because Trooper kept breaking into any and every refrigerator opened to the side. Thats my story of my terrible dog who broke into the fridge.

Kingos loves to watch other dogs on tv. If he sees himself in the mirror he thinks it's another dog and gets all worked up about that too. Today I turned on the front facing camera of my iphone so he could look at himself and this is what he did.

Also a little background story. We rescued him from the kill list, before that he was used as a bait dog for pit fighting. He has scars and bites all over him and he is the month gentle pup ever. He is 6 months old and he is afraid of being picked up, door ways and drunk people.
