She also pushes the comforter/sheets all the way down to the end of the bed, always. Eww you let her have a chewey in your bed? We have special dog towels for that at our house. Our little dog likes to get under the covers, though the big one usually sleeps at the foot of the bed. The other night they decided to switch places though which was pretty Here's one of my favorite pics of the big one, though it is a repeat: stubblyhead has a new favorite as of 19:56 on Jan 27, 2012 |

Sweet CupnCakes posted:wistful jack Aww, the merle coloring reminds me of my poor departed Jelly Bean. She was my wife's dog before she and I met; I never knew her when she was this little. She loved being outside in the sun. Also being inside looking out the window. Basically just wanted to be with her people. She died a little over three years ago of lymphoma. She was only about seven years old. She was a very good dog and I miss her a lot.

Atticus_1354 posted:Picture I snapped of my dads dog over Thanksgiving. She was so excited that we took a walk down the ravine at my dads place. She loves climbing up and down the slopes. Reminds me of my previous dog. My wife and I were at a mostly-wooded park with her years ago. We were at the top of a slope that turned out to be much steeper than we realized, so we decided to not go down that way. The dog had other ideas, however, and charged over the edge. She wasn't seriously injured, but had to be carried back to the car (all 75 lbs of her) and had a bad limp for a couple weeks. A very sweet dog, but God was she dumb. Hastings posted:What breed(s) is he, do you know? Because he looks exactly like my dog and we have no loving clue. Looks like a papillon/rat terrier mix to me. My rat terrier mix looks a lot like him too, but without all the floofiness.

Overminty posted:Her name's Tiny (we didn't pick it), she's a rescue my grandad took on whI've never seen anything with so much energy before, she is a nippy little so and so. Sometimes when she gets excited she'll just run full tilt up and around the garden. Daft as a brush. I believe this is due to the fairly common condition known as "being a terrier."

WHAT A GOOD DOG posted:Maybe someone here can explain to me why my dog (and whatever dog is staying here) likes to follow me around from room to room if they're completely fed and watered and stuff. Like, are they just that bored or do they think I'm gonna do something for them? Dogs like to be with their people. The other day after a shower I found the dog lying down on the floor next to the tub waiting for me to finish.

She's a rat terrier, and despite her gender Loki is a perfect name for her (pretty sure Loki disguised himself as a woman to trick Thor or Odin once or twice anyway though so whatever). If she wants to sit where the other, much bigger dog is sitting, she'll run to the door and bark. When the big dog follows suit, she'll run back to the couch and sit there looking all smug.
