 I've definitely found the diamond and masters ones true. Because master is seen as the first serious competitive league, I think (and I know this sounds retarded) that there's a certain social eStatus from being in the league (just within bnet of course), so diamonds who want to be taken seriously are like "oh yeah I'm top diamond, practically master!" And then once you're actually in master, you've become aware enough of the game to realize just how bad your play really is and just feel like  constantlyEvery time I fail to adequately defend some kind of split bio drop because I screwed up positioning and splitting my own forces I feel like the dumbest player in the universe. How can I have played literally thousands of games and not be able to handle this crap? Since I know one or two builds per matchup really well, whenever I do something else I can just sense all the slack and lack of optimization, gets feeling like "if I win this game, I don't deserve it  ".

I caught part of that last night. He had some really weird builds. PvT Neo Planet S: 10 gate with 1 gas for a fast zealot, msc, stalker. Didn't start warpgate til after the 2nd stalker. Didn't expand until after dropping a robo and 2nd gate. Opponent went for a 13 minute 1/1/1 timing. Turns out 13 minutes on 1 base against a 2 base Protoss doesn't work. PvZ Star Station: FFE into stargate and a fast 3rd. Then dropped 2 more stargates. Pretty much made nothing but void rays and died to speedling run bys + mass infestors. Seemed like he would've been fine if he got AOE earlier and sim citied his 3rd/4th expansions. But nope, just gonna max on void rays and tempests with no scouting. PvP Belshir: Proxy 2 gated Squirtle, literally inside of Squirtle's base above the ramp. Got scouted immediately and gged after he lost his first zealot to a zealot + 5 probes.
