He's from my hometown of Ottawa, and helped with our local MD telethon segments when I volunteered there. Did a lot of comedy sets at our local Yuk-Yuks, is funny and a nice guy, and does great Wookiee impersonations.

I've just listened to the first nine episodes of Uhh Yeah Dude and I have to say I'm very impressed, and can't believe how much I have to catch up. I thought listening to the entire Smodcast archive over a few months was hard going...

On a side note: the latest episode of the Joe Rogan Experience is really funny because, like all funny episodes of that show, it features a heavy amount of Joey Diaz. Specifically, his experiences of going to prison which are a loving riot.

Does nobody like Stop Podcasting Yourself? I mean they don't have the most famous guests or anything like that but it's a solid hour of some pretty funny stuff. I like their silly musical intros for all their bits. http://www.maximumfun.org/shows/stop-podcasting-yourself

I love so many of these podcasts, but why do every single goddamn one of them constantly use the word "literally" in a dubious way? It grates on my pedantic soul like a hasp.

It's one of those things that's spreading like overly using the word "like". Most of these podcasts are coming out of California or other parts of the west coast right? I hear it a lot where I am so I'm not singling it out. I'm just suggesting it may have started there.

I hung out with TJ Miller last night, and he was really loving cool. I haven't heard the recent DLM but his standup is loving ace.

I think I'd like Comedy Death Ray a lot more if they got rid of the skits. When it's just comedians talking and bullshitting with each other, it's great. I think that's the same reason Nerdist is my favorite Podcast currently. If anyone also likes MMA/Pro Wrestling, Figure Four Weekly's Bryan and Vinny Show is absolutely hilarious. They review the pro wrestling/MMA shows of the week and usually just destroy them. There are also a lot of poorly made songs, and a few expertly made songs, and a lot of good funny poo poo. The entire archive goes back to 2005, but it costs $10 a month to access. You also get access to a lot more of the "standard" podcasts they have on the site, and the online versions of their newsletters.

This week's UYD and Seth discussing his sobriety is at the same time disturbing and goddamn hilarious. He's touched upon it a few times before (the few glimpses we get into his crazy life) but this week he really went into it... kinda. Wanna little booger sugar???

Out of all of Kevin Smith's new podcasts, I find Hollywood Babble-On the best, it's nice to hear a co-host interrupting him and getting back on topic. I don't know who Ralph Garman is though, I guess some Radio DJ and a guy on Family Guy.

Doug wanted to have seven audience members go against TJ in one round of the Len Maltin game, but to fit that many into a 45-min episode, TJ would need to basically keep the bullshitting and ad-libbing to a minimum, which Dough apparently told TJ backstage. TJ then proceeds to do exactly the opposite, and just is talking and talking as much as he can (although his Yogi Bear stories were pretty funny), and Doug gets angry and yells at him for doing specifically what he asked him not to do.

To be fair I thought almost every tangent Tj went on was really funny and a lot more entertaining than 7 rounds of Len Maltin. I can see why Doug would be irritated but drat did he seem genuinely upset.

He definitely snapped a little but played it off, but as far as I know he only got to 4 people. So yeah, there was a bit of bullshit. Whatever though it still turned out to be a good one.

Make it a treat, as Sarah Silverman would say.

A little late to the game but I listen to the West Side Wise Guys. They are a weekly show that's basically 4 guys and guests, talking about things you'd talk to your buddies in the garage over a beer. its a little scripted and that makes it nice because there isn't much dead air. I vote This as my favorite episode.

Haven't listened yet, but it looks like Tyler Knight is a guest on the new Joe Rogan podcast. He's a porn actor, and he's a really good writer. His blog about his experiences in porn is fantastic. http://www.tylerknight.com/ "Walking the Room" keeps getting slightly better each time, but they really haven't hit their stride yet I think. The Apatow WTF episodes are loving amazing! e: Just wanted to take a second and say how great it is that this thread is already at eleven pages in no time. I'm the only person I know who listens to podcasts, aside from MY GIRLFRIEND who only listens to UYD. It's cool to hear active discussion about these shows I listen to every day. Seatbelts. He was way better than that chick from a podcast or something that bombed a couple weeks ago. She was so terrible. I usually like to laugh at comedians who are bombing (and their flop sweat) but her voice was so awful it just wasn't any fun.
