People are like this about the Joker as well. I've got a friend who would NOT SHUT THE gently caress UP about how Conroy and Hamil are the only people who could ever voice these characters, but after watching Under the Red Hood, he finally relented and admitted it was the first time he was properly repulsed and frightened by the Joker in the cartoons.

They danced around it in the TV cartoons because, well, TV cartoons, but Joker is kinda sorta supposed to be a sadistic lunatic killer, so the actor in Red Hood REALLY managed to sell that to me while also still being pretty funny. "Can I get a glass of water?" was the prelude to the best Joker moment in a cartoon since any number of moments from the original Batman cartoons.

It's funny to hear John DiMaggio, aka Bender, playing a psychotic murderer. It was even funnier when one of the many random mooks he played in AC did an impression of the Joker. It was a great little actor allusion.

want age 25-70 guy to come over and jo in my model train room.

If Hamill is still voicing Skips on Regular Show then theres no way Joker hurts his voice.

But yeah I was sad but Arkham City ended well and I was hoping that they would bring out some other villains. Guess I'll just stick with Brave and the Bold for my showcase of obscure villains.

I like John DiMaggio and I like Joker. But, for me, the mixing of the two was like putting ice cream on pizza.

Yeah, I thought it was awesome too.

Why does he have two swords? Does he lose them often?

DiMaggio fit that movie's portrayal of the Joker perfectly. He wasn't the Clown Prince of Crime, he was an uncontrollable vicious, murderous thug who took insane glee in torturing people.

That scene at the very end where he grabs Batman to try and keep him from escaping the bomb and squealing "I'm the only one who's going to get what he wants!!" was just a fantastic moment.

While DiMaggio couldn't match Hamill's manic-ness, he totally pulls off the deadpan-to-psychotic shift.

I just wasn't feeling that Joker voice he settled on for that movie. I just can't imagine Joker with a voice that deep or jazzy.

It reminded me of the Futurama episode where Bender got a sex change.

To boldly be eaten where no grot has been eaten before!

The thing is, as long as the combat basically stays the same, and there is decent level design, it'll be a good game and we'll buy it.

The Scottish guy in the developer video at least comes across as someone who 'gets' Arkham, so I'm quietly hopeful.

I just finished this months after playing through most of it so I didn't remember where the plot was, but I wish they somehow made the climb up Strange's tower the last bit of the game. It felt like the most batman-y thing in the game, way better then ending it on fighting a kind of goofy supernatural villain like Clayface. I was kind of annoyed that they revealed Ras was secretly behind everything, Strange was a way cooler villain

Will a 90's sitcom reference do?

Wow I must have spaced out while playing because I completely missed that. I guess it doesn't completely crush my hopes for a BB game but I thought they would do a Terry fighting Joker Jr. type of thing.

I thought Terry already got his rear end kicked regularly by Harley's (do I really need to spoiler Batman Beyond stuff?) grandaughters, the twins with laser whips, I forget their names.

I only remember them appearing in the Return of the Joker movie and that one Justice League episode where they kill him offscreen in an alternate future.

Anybody remotely interesting is mad in some way or another.

I have to admit that despite my reservations about it not being a Rocksteady game and this featuring zero gameplay/in-game graphics... I got excited by this and the notion of getting some fresh free-flow combat going

Is it? I didn't see anything on those videos indicating Rocksteady was involved, and it's being published by Activision.
