I've been listening to GBS-FM at work every day for six years now. I can't imagine the sheer number of different songs I must have heard from it. The variety is unmatched and I've discovered dozens of favorite new bands from it.

As long as you take the time to search and make sure you're not adding duplicates, because the station already has a dozen covers of the Final Countdown and probably a huge chunk of your other 20 gigs.

I don't know the official rules on that, but for some songs I think it's justified. The songs that completely run together like Pink Floyd's Brain Damage/Eclipse. Even the radio always runs them together. It would sound incomplete without it.

Linkin Park may not be any good, but compared to some of the stuff here, it's nothing. The only reason people hate is because they actually became popular. If you didn't know who they were, you would find them spectacularly average and nowhere near skip worthy.

Let's save the skips for the speaker breaking songs and Faithfully.

It wasn't banned because of the song, but because it had so many comments, it was causing buffering whenever it loaded.

People don't stick around because they're not as tolerant of music they don't like as some of us.

Most of my friends have given GBS-FM a chance, but none of them last because "There's just too much poo poo. I don't want to have to fiddle with my radio every 10 minutes."

I understand that you guys genuinely like the "troll music", but on the flip side you have to understand that some people don't.

I try to add music that I like and I think a lot of others will like, and this is the best way to improve the quality of the station. If more people make sure they're keeping good music on the playlist, it will start to drown out the stuff you'd rather hear less of.

No. GBS-FM and DSB have a long history.

Also, it's an overplayed, insipid, terrible song that should be reserved only for singalongs in bars after everyone present has had at least six drinks. Most of what gets played on GBS-FM is terrible, but for other reasons.

Lives were nearly lost over the Journey discussions in GBS-FM. We had a tense few years back there. It was like a power ballad cold war.

Seriously I don't understand this complaint at all.

If you actually know the song and know you love it or hate it, go ahead and vote for it. The problem comes in when somebody sees a song that they've never heard before, but they didn't like the last song they heard by that artist, so they vote it a 1.

Never make a vote based on assumptions for a song you've never listened to. Even if I hated every other Soulja Boy song (which everybody should), I won't vote on them until they play.
