GBS-FM is one of the oldest goon projects, and probably the most successful. It's opened my eyes to entire genres of music I would never have heard otherwise, and expanded what I knew of the ones I listened to already. If you go in with an open mind and somewhat of a thick skin, you'll enjoy it and, in time, maybe learn to love some of the ridiculously weird crap that shows up on the playlist from time to time.

However, I can't stress this enough:

Particularly for j-pop but also for any artists which use some form of moonicode in their name, please search for both versions of the name or search by track title as well before you upload.

Wouldn't want anyone to waste their time uploading an artist discography we already have, cheers.

(Since this one was my fault...)

If you're going to upload Asian artists, please retag them with romanized names in Western name order (family name last).

Also, Isao Tomita isn't j-pop!

It was all unplayed dongs in the database under a minute. It lasted three days because then we ran out of dongs to add. If we did it with our current database we could probably get a couple days out of it.

Just bringing back unplayed dongs mode would probably help some of the complaints.

No. GBS-FM and DSB have a long history.

Also, it's an overplayed, insipid, terrible song that should be reserved only for singalongs in bars after everyone present has had at least six drinks. Most of what gets played on GBS-FM is terrible, but for other reasons.

Seriously I don't understand this complaint at all.

There's a difference between doing that and downvoting an entire Radiohead album that was just released, or going down the playlist and voting 1 for the hell of it. (We know who you are.)

It's a matter of station etiquette. Personally, I don't have a problem with pre-voting as you've stated it, but if you can't honestly say "no" to "Am I being a dick?" when pre-voting, then you're probably being a dick.
