Got a new(er) PC set up this past weekend and I'm very happy with it - thankfully I got the parts last Thursday (ordered on 8/14) and got some pretty sweet deals on everything.

Core2Quad Q9400 (given by a friend whom I helped upgrade to an i7 rig)

8GB (2GB x 4 sticks) Kingston PC2-6400 (from same friend above)

Asus P5Q Pro Turbo: $105 ($125 - $20 MIR)

Antec TPQ850: $130

Zalman CNPS9700 LED CPU cooler ($55)

EVGA GTX 465 1GB Superclocked: $182.50 ($250 - 15% off sale - $30 MIR)

Windows 7 Professional 64-bit OEM ($140)

Rosewill Challenger case ($35)

The rest was parts I already had - Antec 300 case, SB Audigy 2 ZS sound card, 500GB WD Caviar Black HDD, Sony Optiarc DVD-R/RW/CD-R/RW drive and Lite-On DVD/CD-R/RW drive (both SATA). I bought the Rosewill case to house the parts from my old PC (AMD Opteron 170, 2GB RAM, 9800GTX 512MB video, 650W Antec PSU, 250GB WD Caviar Blue HDD, DVD-R/RW/CD-R/RW combo drive) and am selling it to a co-worker for a couple hundred bucks once I have it up and running and tested.

So far I have the CPU running rock solid at 3.6GHz, video card is at 750/1500/3400, RAM running at 900Mhz (450x2), FSB at 1800Mhz (450x4). Runs everything butter smooth with 8xAA (with 8x supersample)/16xAF/high quality and multi-threading enabled. Ran Prime95 on it over the weekend for 2-3 hours a day on Friday and Saturday, no issues whatsoever and CPU never went above 58-59�C under full stress.

poo poo dude, $50? Mine was $189, though it was for the full year.

EDIT: Which was what I just bought. Though my car exploded on the way back home so maybe that wasn't the best purchase.
