Man I wish that Killswitch game was real, just reading that whole story behind it gave me the chills.

I don't really understand why, in the story, the guy who bought Killswitch is crying.

It's not like the game deletes itself once you die, or once you pick a character you're locked to that character for good, as the story mentioned it being a common occurrence for people to start with Ghast, find out he was too hard, and switch over to the woman.

So what is he so upset about? He can play Ghast as many times as he wants or needs to, to figure him out and win the game with him. The game only deletes itself once he WINS.

Can a mod please change the title to "Let's talk about Killswitch" I feel it'd be more honest advertising tia.

Seriously knock it off about Killswitch. It's fiction, it didn't happen, and couldn't happen without some way to circumvent the deletion of the game data, no matter how clever you think your idea is to make it copy-proof.

Killswitch has been the most interesting thing to come out of this thread so please don't stop talking about it.

It's a great game, though I remember it being a bit more difficult as a kid. Though this may be in part of my refusal to use Toadstool in my party, why use a weak little girl if I can use the three powerhouses; Mario, Bowser and Geno?

Haha that's funny, I did the exact same thing. I didn't use Toadstool until the Smithy fight when I realized how valuable she really was. The game is a lot easier if you use her the whole way through.

Still an amazing game though. All the sidequests are what really made it great. The casino, Lazy Shell, Frying Pan, Hidden Treasure Boxes, finding Toadstools "???", etc.

Good memories.

It's to bad projects like that are fiction, frauds, or collapsed on themselves.

The Game is one of my favorite movies ever. Everyone who hasn't seen it needs to see it NOW.

They should have put something like a gorilla or other boss in the game. It builds up like something crazy is gonna happen, and then... just more rounds of the exact same thing!

My best friend growing up loved Ken Griffy Jr Baseball on SNES and swore up and down that you could make the players run up the outfield wall and on the stadium with the ivy on the back wall you could run into it and loose the player for the inning.

We kept playing and playing this loving stupid baseball game for hours on end.... I never saw it happen.

I never heard anything about that but that game was awesome. Players breaking bats over their knee when they strike out, and players running into the outfield wall and knocking themselves out as their hat popped off their head. Magical.

I'm a terrible double poster, I'm sorry.

With our present technology, is it possible to hide files at all? Is it possible to release games without people being able to see every piece of data? What's the most recent game that had a secret stay hidden for any amount of time? I feel like there will never be any more hoaxes or urban legends because everything can be disproven instantly. Makes me miss being 12 and finding secrets in my recent edition of Nintendo Power. :(

Well what happened was there was a team of programmers working on it, but a couple of weeks before they were finished one of them got sick. He thought it was the flu. It had all the symptons of the flu. It wasn't the flu. He had been working Pokemon Black every night for a 4 months straight. He was determined to finish it. He called in sick for 3 consecutive days. That wasn't like Terrance. He had never missed a day of work in his life. The kind of guy who had his coffee pot set to make a cup every day at 5:45AM. He finally showed up on Thursday looking something awful. He had several burst blood vessels around his eyes. He said he had been violently throwing up all week, but that didn't explain the bruises on his arms. He looked like something from a JC Penny catolog. Straight up cashmere. Not voluptous feminine curves laced in cashmere, but the guy you met last week who was a friend of a friend and kept making eye contact with you for no reason the whole night, and kept laughing everytime you said something even though the music was too loud for him to actually hear you in the first place, like what is he trying to do, borrow some money or something, you don't even know this guy, and why is he wearing cashmere to a Mos Def concert? Then he grabs your junk.

Anyway, after wandering around on this blank hellscape for a little bit, I eventually came across a final terminal, which I promptly used. I was so excited I booted up Bandicam to try to record it, but I didn’t realize that my hotkey for recording is also the same hotkey for closing the game—so I didn’t get to see all of what the final terminal says first hand, though I can confirm that it exists and you can interact with it.

This ruined it.
