I'm looking for a manga that was about kids playing an MMO, where the main object was to reach the top of the tower. Somewhere along the line, they find a girl that feels pain when hit and has special powers. That's pretty much all I can remember.

I know it was released previous to 2006, when my friend bought some volumes from the store and got obsessed with it.

The comic is a Korean series called Yureka, it was released in the US (briefly) under the title ID_entity. It's long since been dropped, but it can be found in various places under its original title.

Good series too, kind of like .hack if it were played out with the cast of Slayers.

Does anyone remember an anime where two kids find magical koala wizards and then the koala wizards tell them they have to dress up as koalas and go to the magic koala wizard kingdom to find someone's dead grandpa or something?

Also the koala wizards in the koala wizard world are fiercely racist and would utterly destroy the two kids if they found out they were not actually koala wizards as well.

This is driving me nuts. I am looking for a very unconventional anime. "Episodes" were ridiculously short. Has a very distinct art style feels almost like a painting. I feel like it was about a man with a cowboy hat traveling with his horse maybe? I remember campfires and I do believe it was available to watch on youtube.

Hopefully thats enough as I don't remember much more.

Several years ago I watched a children's movie about a goat and a wolf that became best friends. They ran away together because no one from their respective herd/pack would accept their friendship. I remember it starting out cute/funny and became incredibly depressing as it wore on. It had a happy ending though. :3: Does anyone know the name of this?

This is not an anime but a manga.

maybe 8 years ago I read this horror manga, I read 2 books out of possibly 10+. They were short horror stories and each book had maybe 2 to 3 stories. One segment I remember was about a house that grew moldy until the entire house was covered in fungus. The second was a girl that started to have more and more holes appear on her body until she looked like swiss cheese.

Right, this has been bugging me for years.

I watched an episode that revolved around a very rich man (possibly a prince?) who lived on an island with a whole bunch of maids (one of whom was DEFINATELY a robot). The main female character was sent to protect him from some kind of assassination plot and if I recall correctly she was the stereotypical bad rear end anime fighter chick but completely useless at everything else. She had to disguise herself as a maid.

The episode I saw revolved around them somehow getting a dog and her being frightened of it for most of the episode until they become good friends. Then the dog took a bullet for her at the end and I bawled my eyes out because I am ridiculously emotional.

Anyone know what it is?

I once saw this anime, it was multi parts told from different character perspectives, who eventually meet up. There was a hacker an Iraqi soldier, a chick from a village)I think), it was like a comic book in that there wasn't a lot of animation I guess but it was animated if that makes any sense, kind of like those new Marvel full motion comics. Was pretty cool, can anyone help?

Broken Saints.

e: I really liked it and think it is worth watching, though preferably with the recorded dialogue added in the DVD release turned off (it's not poorly acted, but the timing of the original "silent" work doesn't perfectly translate to people talking).

I'm struggling to remember this anime series or movie. I don't remember what it was about except that I thought of it while listening to NPR. They were talking about Inception and making comparisons to Paprika. I thought that this movie/anime I'm blanking on would be better to compare to so I'm guessing it has to be about dreams. All I know is that it was recent and released in probably the last two or three years (after Paprika).

The second one sounds like "Puncture" by Shintaro Kago.
A warning, though, Kago's stuff is usually pretty gross and NMS/NWS.

It's not about dreams, but the only thing post-Paprika anime title I can think of which involves theft and alteration of people's thoughts would be the TV series Kaiba. To my knowledge, a show like that which was never released in the US was never discussed on NPR proper, but perhaps you were listening to a local show.

I think this might be a bit of a long shot here but hey, if a koala anime can be found, anything's possible I guess! This would have been from the late 80s/early 90s and the only scene I can remember is of people looking at a giant robot(I think it's some sort of guardian robot, like Gigantor) as it's burning up, with a cut to a picture of what I can only assume is the robot's dead creator or pilot or something. Then I think the episode continues with the giant robot's new replacement. Sorry for the vagueness, that one scene just really sticks out in my mind as being memorable.

I'm trying to remember the name of an old show that I never got to see the ending of, It has to be at least 10-15 years old, so I don't remember too many details except it was set in space or the moon and the main characters used crystals to either transform into robots or call power armor like Centurions. I dont know the protagonists name but the antagonists name was Gunner.

The beginning is okay and middle kind of drags but I thought it finished strong. The animation gets better over time but there's still times when everything goes off model for an episode but that's more than made up for when they pour that time/effort/money into action pieces later.

I'd say it's good.

I need help identifying three comics I read some years ago. I think the first was a Manhwa due to the art style. It featured a main character who was a mercenary/monster hunter that looked like a cross between Dante and Gutts. My most vivid memory involves him fighting either lizard or crocodile men in a small warehouse. It's been so long however that I don't know just how accurate this is.

The second was a completed story that had two halves. The first dealt with a biker protecting his girlfriend or sister from a vampire/monster. I believe he looked very much like the main character from God Hand. The second half followed a student several years later. I can remember him being attacked by giant spiders and defeating the main villain with a mathematical formula. The biker from the original story also appeared wearing a zippered face mask.

The third is famous but I can't recall the name for the life of me. The main character was a high schooler who fired blasts from his fingers and fought against someone with a mastery of roses or thorns.

I'm sorry for giving such vague descriptions but I would really like to read these again and any help would be appreciated.

Thank you. I knew it wasn't obscure like the others but I just could not recall the name.

I hate to do this but thinking so much about series I never finished has left me with one more request. It was a manga with a battling system based on summoning monsters from cards or possibly souls. I believe each character had only one or a small number of monsters. I can remember their being an attack inside a shopping mall and a deadly tournament inside a tower with artificial environments. I think the evil organization used robotic monsters to attack the protagonists home at one point.

I'll be sure to keep an eye on the thread in the unlikely event that I can help someone else as repayment.

The battles played out more like Pokemon than Yu-Gi-Oh, as there were no card game mechanics. The cards were simply used to summon the sentient monsters during fights and I believe they were given no stats. Thank you for replying.
